Tax Senior Manager Jobs in Nashville: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a tax senior manager job in Nashville?
The strongest path into a tax senior manager role in Nashville runs through the city's healthcare systems, regional banks, and the large public accounting firms anchored downtown and in Cool Springs. Candidates with CPA licensure, a background in federal and state corporate tax, and experience managing junior staff move fastest. Targeting healthcare-adjacent employers or mid-market CPA firms in the Brentwood and Franklin corridors gives Nashville-based candidates a real edge.
Which companies hire tax senior managers in Nashville?
Companies currently hiring tax senior managers in Nashville include BDO, Deloitte, and Bridgestone Americas, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Nashville's mix of large healthcare organizations, regional financial institutions, and national firms with significant Tennessee operations makes it one of the more active mid-South markets for senior tax talent.
Are there remote tax senior manager jobs in Nashville?
Yes, though with limits, since tax senior manager work involves client interaction, team oversight, and confidential filings that many employers prefer to keep in-office or hybrid. About 78% of tax senior manager openings tied to Nashville are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting a market that leans hybrid rather than fully remote. Review and research work tends to be the most flexible, while compliance filings and client-facing advisory typically require in-person presence.
How can I get a tax senior manager job in Nashville with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is starting as a tax associate or senior associate at one of Nashville's mid-market CPA firms, several of which operate offices in the Brentwood and downtown corridors and promote internally. Healthcare and insurance companies headquartered in Nashville also hire tax staff at the associate level and develop them toward management. Building exposure to multi-state corporate returns and earning a CPA license while in those roles puts candidates on the clearest track toward a senior manager title locally.
Which industries hire the most tax senior managers in Nashville?
Most tax senior manager openings in Nashville sit in Accounting & Auditing, Chemicals & Materials, and Consulting & Professional Services, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Nashville's concentration of large healthcare systems, insurance carriers, and regional financial institutions creates consistent demand for senior tax professionals who can manage complex multi-entity compliance and advisory work.
