Technical Solutions Architect Jobs in Minneapolis: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a technical solutions architect job in Minneapolis?
Target Minneapolis's dense clusters of enterprise software firms in the North Loop, large financial institutions and insurance carriers headquartered downtown, and the major health systems anchored in the metro. Candidates who can demonstrate pre-sales architecture experience, cloud platform certifications, and the ability to translate complex technical requirements into business outcomes stand out most in this market. Networking through local technology councils and user groups accelerates introductions to hiring teams.
Which companies hire technical solutions architects in Minneapolis?
Companies currently hiring technical solutions architects in Minneapolis include RBC, Mortenson Construction, and Amazon Web Services, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Minneapolis draws a mix of global enterprise software vendors with regional offices, homegrown financial technology firms, and large healthcare organizations that maintain substantial in-house architecture teams.
Are there remote technical solutions architect jobs in Minneapolis?
Yes, though it depends on the role: positions focused on cloud architecture design, pre-sales, and documentation are highly remote-compatible, while roles requiring hands-on data center or on-premises infrastructure work typically need in-office presence. About 67% of technical solutions architect openings tied to Minneapolis are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, reflecting broad adoption across the city's software and financial services employers. Client-facing pre-sales architects see the most flexible arrangements locally.
How can I get a technical solutions architect job in Minneapolis with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Minneapolis is moving from a systems engineer, cloud engineer, or solutions consultant role at one of the metro's many managed service providers or mid-sized software companies, which regularly hire junior architecture staff. Pursuing cloud certifications from AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud and contributing to local open-source or community projects strengthens a thin resume. Minneapolis healthcare and financial services firms also recruit associate-level architects from their own internal IT teams.
Which industries hire the most technical solutions architects in Minneapolis?
Minneapolis technical solutions architect roles concentrate in Technology & Software, Banking & Financial Services, and Accounting & Auditing, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Minneapolis's position as a regional hub for Fortune 500 financial institutions, a nationally significant healthcare and medical devices ecosystem, and a growing enterprise software sector creates sustained and diverse demand for architecture talent across all three.
