Technical Solutions Architect Jobs in Charlotte: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a technical solutions architect job in Charlotte?
Focus your search on Charlotte's banking technology and enterprise software employers, which drive the highest volume of openings locally. Roles concentrate in Uptown's financial district, the South End tech corridor, and Ballantyne's corporate campuses. Candidates with hands-on pre-sales experience, cloud platform certifications, and a portfolio of client-facing solution designs stand out in Charlotte's market, where large financial institutions and regional healthcare systems compete for the same talent.
Which companies hire technical solutions architects in Charlotte?
Charlotte technical solutions architect roles are posted by Xylem, Esri, and Wells Fargo and others right now, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Charlotte's mix of major bank technology divisions, regional insurance carriers, and growing SaaS companies makes it one of the Southeast's more active markets for this role.
Are there remote technical solutions architect jobs in Charlotte?
Yes, though availability depends on scope: strategic and pre-sales architecture work is often remote-eligible, while roles tied to on-site infrastructure or client facilities typically require in-person presence. About 32% of technical solutions architect openings tied to Charlotte are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, reflecting the role's consultative nature. Cloud-focused and vendor-side positions tend to offer the most flexibility for Charlotte-based candidates.
How can I get a technical solutions architect job in Charlotte with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Charlotte is moving from a solutions engineer, systems engineer, or senior technical support role at one of the city's many enterprise software or managed services firms. Charlotte's large regional banks and healthcare technology companies also hire associate solutions architects and rotate candidates through structured technical programs. Building cloud certifications and contributing to local tech communities in South End or NoDa helps candidates gain visibility with hiring managers before roles are formally posted.
Which industries hire the most technical solutions architects in Charlotte?
Most technical solutions architect openings in Charlotte sit in Technology & Software, Manufacturing, and Banking & Financial Services, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Charlotte's status as a major U.S. banking hub and its growing concentration of healthcare IT and enterprise software firms means demand for architects who can translate complex technical solutions for non-technical stakeholders remains consistently high across those sectors.
