Job Summary and Qualifications
SPECIFIC ELEMENTS AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS*
1. *Demonstrates proficiency in operating and trouble-shooting equipment used in the EKG lab.
2. *Prep patients and apply holter monitors.
3. Restocks work area with necessary supplies. Keeps work area and equipment clean and orderly to promote patient safety.
4. Assists with compiling bi-weekly and monthly data.
5. *Respond to stat orders as received.
6. *Demonstrates proficiency in performing routine EKGs, Signal Averaged EKGs, Rhythm Strips, and EKGs
7. with and without the magnet.
8. *Provides coverage for weekends and holidays.
9. Executes departmental procedure for clerical processing of EKGs.
What qualifications you will need:
EXPERIENCE
Required - Six months experience in patient care in a hospital
Preferred - Six months experience performing EKGs
EDUCATION
Required - High School Diploma
Preferred - High School Diploma, Medical Training
LICENSURE:
Required: American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider
