ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead day-to-day hardware and software activities for the Alpha Test Engineering Team; provide technical leadership and development for Test Engineers and Test Technicians
- Coordinate testing priorities, resource planning, and work assignments across projects
- Coordinate with the Validation Engineering Team to execute test plans, test procedures, and validation strategies for Hunter Engineering products including new hardware, embedded systems, firmware, and application software
- Identify test coverage gaps and ensure validation activities meet functional, performance, environmental, and regulatory requirements
- Define test equipment and resource requirements including the effective implementation of all testing needs
- Lead the execution of system, integration, functionality, regression, stress, and reliability tests to ensure products meet defined quality, performance, and release-readiness criteria
- Oversee test data collection, analysis, and documentation of results using structured reporting tools
- Establish and refine testing best practices, standard operating procedures, and documentation standards to improve consistency, traceability, and audit readiness
- Additional duties as assigned
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Technology or related field
- 5+ years leading a technical team
- 5+ years of experience in mechanical, hardware, software, or systems testing
- Strong understanding of embedded systems, hardware interfaces, sensors, and software architecture
- Proven experience creating and executing test plans
- Proficiency with test instruments such as multimeters, DAQ systems, signal generators, etc.
- Experience with defect tracking tools and test documentation practices
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to adapt to ever changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
