Therapist Jobs in Colorado Springs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a therapist job in Colorado Springs?
Focus your search on the sectors that drive the most hiring in Colorado Springs: military and veteran behavioral health programs tied to Fort Carson and Peterson Space Force Base, community mental health centers serving El Paso County, and expanding private group practices in Briargate and the Powers corridor. Candidates with experience in trauma-informed care, EMDR, or military family services hold a clear edge in this market. Applying directly to hospital systems and county-contracted providers also opens doors faster than relying on general postings.
Which companies hire therapists in Colorado Springs?
Colorado Springs therapist roles are posted by CommonSpirit Health, UCHealth, and Cedar Springs Hospital and others right now, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. The local market includes a mix of large health systems, federally contracted behavioral health organizations, school districts, and independently owned group practices serving the city's sizable military-connected population.
Are there remote therapist jobs in Colorado Springs?
Yes, though remote availability depends heavily on specialty. About 6% of therapist openings tied to Colorado Springs are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, with telehealth roles being the most common fully remote option. Outpatient talk therapy and psychiatric support tend to offer the most remote flexibility, while school-based, residential, and crisis services nearly always require on-site presence in Colorado Springs.
How can I get a therapist job in Colorado Springs with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Colorado Springs is a supervised clinical internship or practicum placement through one of the area's community mental health centers, such as Cedar Springs or AspenPointe, which regularly take pre-licensure clinicians. Entry-level case manager and behavioral health technician roles at residential facilities in the Powers and Fountain areas also bridge into licensed therapy positions. Volunteering with veteran service organizations near Fort Carson is another local advantage that many hiring managers notice.
Which industries hire the most therapists in Colorado Springs?
Most therapist openings in Colorado Springs sit in Healthcare & Medical Services, Non-Profit & Social Services, and Sports & Recreation, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Colorado Springs's large active-duty and veteran population, combined with a growing network of private group practices and school district contracts, keeps demand across those sectors consistently strong compared to similarly sized cities.
