TN Visa Engagement Manager Jobs
Engagement Manager roles qualify for TN visa sponsorship under the USMCA's Management Consultant category, making this one of the more accessible paths for Canadian and Mexican professionals. Your employer prepares a support letter to sponsor your TN status, and Canadian citizens can obtain approval directly at the port of entry without a consular appointment. Mexican nationals apply through a U.S. consulate with the same support documentation.

Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding TN Visa Sponsorship as an Engagement Manager
Frame your resume around consulting deliverables
TN officers evaluate Engagement Managers against the Management Consultant category. Rewrite your resume to emphasize client engagements, project scopes, and measurable outcomes rather than internal team titles that blur the consulting distinction.
Target firms with recent visa filing experience
Consulting firms experienced with visa sponsorship often have streamlined internal processes for work visa support. Prioritize employers whose HR teams understand the TN requirements, since your offer letter must clearly align with the Management Consultant classification. For Canadian applicants, this means the employer's support letter will detail your role, salary, and qualifications at your U.S. port of entry. For Mexican applicants, the same documentation supports your application at a U.S. consulate. Firms with recent visa filing experience tend to move faster through these steps.
Search verified TN sponsors using Migrate Mate
Use Migrate Mate to filter Engagement Manager openings by employers with active TN visa sponsorship. This cuts the time spent cold-applying to companies unfamiliar with USMCA professional categories.
Secure a detailed offer letter before entry
For Canadian applicants entering at a land border or airport, CBP adjudicates your TN on the spot. Your offer letter must specify the role as Management Consultant, project scope, and duration. Vague titles or generalist descriptions are the most common cause of same-day denials.
Clarify Mexican TN consular appointment requirements early
Mexican nationals must obtain TN status at a U.S. consulate rather than at the port of entry. Build at least six to eight weeks into your timeline for the consular appointment and visa stamp before your start date.
Align your degree field with the consulting classification
CBP requires your academic credentials to connect logically to Management Consulting. A degree in business, engineering, or a related field supports the classification. If your degree is in an unrelated discipline, gather supporting documentation showing how your coursework relates to engagement management work.

Find Engagement Manager JobsEngagement Manager TN Visa: Frequently Asked Questions
Does an Engagement Manager role qualify for TN visa sponsorship?
Yes, Engagement Manager positions typically qualify under the TN visa's Management Consultant category, provided the role involves advisory or project-based consulting services for clients rather than permanent internal management duties. Your employer's offer letter must describe the work in terms that match the Management Consultant definition CBP uses when adjudicating TN applications.
How does the TN visa compare to H-1B for Engagement Manager roles?
The TN visa has no annual lottery and no cap for Canadian citizens, so you can pursue Engagement Manager roles year-round without waiting for an H-1B selection cycle. Mexican nationals face a separate annual allocation under USMCA, but TN still processes faster than H-1B for most consulting roles. The tradeoff is that TN does not support dual intent, so long-term permanent residency planning requires a separate strategy.
What documentation does my employer need to sponsor my TN status?
Your employer prepares a support letter outlining your role as an Engagement Manager, the nature of the engagement, the project duration, and your qualifications that meet TN requirements. Canadian nationals present this support letter directly to CBP at the port of entry, while Mexican nationals bring it to a U.S. consular interview. The support letter demonstrates that your role qualifies for TN status under the management consultant category and that you meet the educational and professional requirements.
Where can I find Engagement Manager jobs with TN visa sponsorship?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for Canadian and Mexican professionals searching for roles with active TN visa sponsorship. Rather than filtering through general job listings, Migrate Mate surfaces Engagement Manager openings at employers who have already demonstrated experience with USMCA professional categories, which reduces time spent educating HR teams about the TN process from scratch.
Can I switch employers while on a TN visa as an Engagement Manager?
Yes, but your TN status is tied to a specific employer and role. Before starting with a new consulting firm, that employer must prepare a support letter documenting your qualifications and the role details. Canadian citizens can present this support letter at a U.S. port of entry to obtain TN status, while Mexican nationals need to apply at a U.S. consulate with the support letter. You cannot begin work for the new employer until your TN status is approved.
