Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding TN Visa Sponsorship as a Marketing And Events Coordinator
Frame your credentials around USMCA definitions
TN eligibility for Marketing roles requires a baccalaureate degree in marketing, business, or a directly related field. If your degree title is atypical, prepare a credential evaluation that maps your coursework to the USMCA marketing professional category before approaching employers.
Target employers experienced with visa sponsorship
Companies with recent visa filings for marketing roles already understand work visa sponsorship logistics. Prioritize those employers over organizations with no prior foreign national hiring, since they're less likely to stall on paperwork unfamiliar to their HR teams.
Distinguish event coordination duties from general admin
Officers scrutinize Marketing and Events Coordinator job offers closely. Your offer letter must emphasize strategic marketing functions, vendor contract management, and campaign analytics, not administrative scheduling tasks, which can trigger a classification denial at the port of entry or consulate.
Use Migrate Mate to filter for TN-ready openings
Search Migrate Mate to find Marketing and Events Coordinator roles specifically listed with TN visa sponsorship. This filters out postings from employers unfamiliar with USMCA categories, saving you from investing time in applications that will stall at the offer stage.
Prepare for Canadian border processing with complete documentation
Canadian citizens can obtain TN status at a U.S. land port of entry or preclearance airport without a visa stamp. Bring your degree credential evaluation, the signed job offer letter specifying your marketing duties, and any supporting evidence of your professional background in a single organized packet.
Negotiate employer support before accepting an offer
Confirm your prospective employer will provide a detailed offer letter on company letterhead citing your TN marketing category before you accept. Mexican nationals especially need the employer's full cooperation for consular appointment documentation, so clarify this commitment during the offer stage, not after.

Find Marketing And Events Coordinator JobsMarketing And Events Coordinator TN Visa: Frequently Asked Questions
Does a Marketing and Events Coordinator role qualify for TN visa status?
Yes, provided your job duties align with the USMCA's Marketing professional category and your employer's offer letter reflects strategic marketing functions such as campaign planning, brand coordination, or event program management. Roles that are primarily administrative or clerical in nature risk denial. Your degree in marketing, business communications, or a closely related field must be documented and verifiable.
How does TN compare to H-1B for Marketing and Events Coordinator positions?
TN has no lottery, no annual cap for Canadians, and can be approved at the border on the same day you present your documentation. H-1B requires employer sponsorship months in advance, a lottery selection with roughly one-in-four odds, and USCIS petition processing. For a Marketing and Events Coordinator with a qualifying degree, TN is a faster and more predictable path to U.S. employment.
Where can I find Marketing and Events Coordinator jobs that offer TN visa sponsorship?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for Canadian and Mexican professionals seeking roles with TN visa sponsorship. Rather than searching general job boards and manually vetting each employer's willingness to sponsor, Migrate Mate surfaces positions from employers already familiar with USMCA categories, including the Marketing professional classification relevant to this role.
Can a Mexican citizen get TN status for a Marketing and Events Coordinator role?
Yes, but the process differs from the Canadian path. Mexican nationals cannot self-process at a port of entry and must apply at a U.S. consulate in Mexico, where a numerical annual cap applies to TN approvals. Your employer must provide detailed supporting documentation, and you'll need to schedule a consular interview. Processing timelines are longer than Canadian border applications.
What should the job offer letter include for a TN Marketing application?
The offer letter must explicitly name the TN professional category as Marketing, describe your specific duties in terms that align with professional marketing practice, state whether the position is full-time or part-time, list the employer's address, and include the anticipated start date and duration. Vague titles like 'coordinator' without substantive marketing duty descriptions are a common reason CBP or consular officers request additional evidence.
