Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding TN Visa Sponsorship as a Field Marketing Specialist
Frame your degree for marketing classification
TN classification requires a degree in marketing, business administration, or a closely related field. If your transcript lists a general commerce degree, request a credential evaluation letter that maps your coursework to U.S. marketing competencies before you start applying.
Target employers with regional field teams
Companies running distributed field marketing programs, product demos, retail activations, territory sales support, sponsor TN roles regularly. Filter your search by employers with multi-state or cross-border field operations, where the need for a dedicated specialist is easiest to document.
Search TN-sponsored roles through Migrate Mate
Use Migrate Mate to find Field Marketing Specialist openings from employers with recent visa filings who are experienced with work visa sponsorship. Filtering by employer sponsorship experience helps you focus on companies already familiar with visa processes, eliminating outreach to employers unprepared for TN support.
Get the offer letter language right
Your employer's offer letter must state your title as 'Marketing' professional and describe duties that align with that USMCA category. Vague language like 'marketing and sales' can prompt a CBP officer to question whether the role is a qualifying professional category.
Prepare for Canadian border entry in one trip
Canadian citizens can complete TN admission at a Class A port of entry with no appointment. Bring your degree, the employer's support letter, and any evidence of prior field marketing work. CBP officers adjudicate on the spot, so document gaps create delays.
Understand the Mexican TN consular timeline
Mexican citizens apply at a U.S. consulate and face a cap on annual TN approvals. Schedule your consular appointment as early as your offer allows. Delays near the fiscal year end, when the allocation runs low, can push your start date by weeks.

Find Field Marketing Specialist JobsField Marketing Specialist TN Visa: Frequently Asked Questions
Does a Field Marketing Specialist role qualify for TN visa status?
Yes, if the role is classified under the USMCA's Marketing professional category and requires at least a bachelor's degree in marketing or a related field. Roles that blend field marketing with sales territory management can qualify, but the job duties in your offer letter must center on marketing functions, not general sales or account management.
How does TN compare to H-1B for a Field Marketing Specialist?
TN has no annual lottery, no cap for Canadian citizens, and can be processed at the border in a single day. H-1B requires employer sponsorship months in advance, entry into a randomized lottery, and USCIS petition approval. For Canadian field marketing professionals with a qualifying degree and a U.S. job offer, TN is a faster and more predictable path.
Where can I find Field Marketing Specialist jobs with TN visa sponsorship?
Migrate Mate lets you search for Field Marketing Specialist openings specifically from employers who sponsor TN professionals. That matters because many general job boards don't surface sponsorship willingness, and you can spend weeks reaching out to companies that won't file the necessary documentation. Filtering by sponsorship history saves that time upfront.
Can Mexican citizens get TN sponsorship for this role?
Yes, but the process differs from Canada. Mexican TN applicants must apply at a U.S. consulate rather than a port of entry, and Mexico has a limited annual TN allocation. Applications submitted later in the U.S. government fiscal year face a higher risk of hitting the cap, so securing your offer and scheduling your consular appointment early is essential.
What documents does my employer need to provide for TN sponsorship?
Your employer must provide a support letter on company letterhead that names you, confirms your job title as a Marketing professional, describes your duties, states the employment period, and confirms the position requires a degree. Some CBP officers also ask for evidence of the company's field marketing operations, so a one-page overview of the team's scope can prevent unnecessary delays at the border.
