Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding TN Visa Sponsorship as a Partnership Development Manager
Frame your credentials around management consulting
TN approval depends on your role fitting the Management Consultant category, not your job title. Prepare a credential package showing your degree in business, economics, or a related field aligns directly with partnership strategy and client development work.
Target companies with cross-border partnership portfolios
Employers who already manage vendor, channel, or alliance relationships across Canada, Mexico, and the U.S. are more likely to understand TN sponsorship logistics. Look for roles explicitly involving bilateral or trilateral commercial development activity.
Use Migrate Mate to find TN-ready employers
Searching broadly for business development roles buries TN-eligible positions. Use Migrate Mate to filter Partnership Development Manager jobs by employers actively offering TN visa sponsorship, so you're applying where the pathway is already understood.
Get your support letter right before crossing
Canadians receive TN status at the port of entry, so your employer's support letter must clearly describe your consulting-style duties, your degree field, and the temporary project or engagement scope. A vague letter is the most common reason officers request additional documentation.
Clarify E-Verify enrollment status before accepting an offer
Ask whether the employer is E-Verify enrolled before you reach the offer stage. Some states mandate enrollment for certain employers, and confirming this early prevents delays during onboarding after your TN is approved.
Understand TN renewal timing for multi-year partnership roles
TN status is granted in three-year increments with no cap on renewals, but your role must remain temporary in nature. If your partnership position evolves into a permanent leadership function, USCIS could question renewal eligibility at the border.

Find Partnership Development Manager JobsPartnership Development Manager TN Visa: Frequently Asked Questions
Does a Partnership Development Manager role qualify for TN visa status?
Yes, provided the role is structured around management consulting functions rather than general sales or account management. CBP officers assess whether your duties involve advisory, strategic, or analytical work tied to a specific project or engagement. A clearly written employer support letter describing your consulting-level responsibilities is what makes the difference at the port of entry.
How does TN compare to H-1B for Partnership Development Manager positions?
TN has no annual cap, no lottery, and no USCIS petition filing requirement for Canadians, making it far more predictable than H-1B for this role. H-1B selection is random and limited to 85,000 slots per fiscal year. The trade-off is that TN requires your role to fit a defined USMCA category and remain temporary in nature, whereas H-1B covers a broader range of specialty occupations without that structural constraint.
Where can I find Partnership Development Manager jobs offering TN visa sponsorship?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for Canadian and Mexican professionals seeking U.S. roles with TN visa sponsorship. It filters Partnership Development Manager listings by employers already open to TN status, so you're not spending time on applications where the employer has no familiarity with the USMCA professional categories or the port-of-entry process.
Can Mexican citizens use the TN visa for this role, and is the process different?
Yes, Mexican citizens can obtain TN status for a qualifying Partnership Development Manager role, but the process differs from Canada. Mexicans must apply for a TN visa at a U.S. consulate in Mexico rather than at the port of entry. The role and credential requirements are identical, but consular appointment wait times add to the overall timeline, so plan accordingly when negotiating your start date with an employer.
What happens to my TN status if my employer changes my role or team?
A material change in your job duties can affect the basis of your TN approval. If your employer reassigns you from a strategic partnership function to a general sales or account management role, your current TN may no longer accurately reflect your work. You'd typically need to re-enter at the port of entry or consulate with updated documentation reflecting the new role before the change takes effect.
