Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding TN Visa Sponsorship as a Senior Project Management
Frame your credentials around consulting deliverables
TN approval for project managers hinges on positioning your work as management consulting, not general administration. Lead your resume and cover letter with scope, methodology, and measurable outcomes rather than job titles or team size.
Target employers with dedicated immigration infrastructure
Look for companies that have processed TN petitions before. Publicly traded firms, multinationals, and federal contractors tend to have HR and legal teams familiar with USMCA categories, which shortens the employer education cycle.
Search for TN-ready roles using Migrate Mate
Filter Senior Project Management openings by TN visa sponsorship status on Migrate Mate to avoid cold outreach to employers unfamiliar with USMCA categories. The platform surfaces roles where sponsorship is already confirmed.
Prepare a support letter that documents consulting scope
Your employer's TN support letter must explicitly describe your role as management consulting work with defined project objectives, not ongoing operational tasks. CBP officers assess this letter at the port of entry; vague language is the most common denial trigger.
Understand how status extensions work before your first entry
TN status is granted in three-year increments with no cap on renewals. If your project timeline extends beyond your initial period, your employer files a new TN petition or you reapply at the border. Plan project contracts around these renewal windows.

Find Senior Project Management JobsSenior Project Management TN Visa: Frequently Asked Questions
Does Senior Project Management qualify for the TN visa?
Yes, but the role must align with the Management Consultant category under USMCA. Your duties need to reflect advisory and consulting work tied to defined project objectives, not routine operational management. CBP officers evaluate the employer's support letter at entry, so precise language about your project scope and deliverables is what determines approval.
How does TN compare to H-1B for Senior Project Management roles?
TN has no annual lottery, no cap for Canadians, and no multi-month petition process. Canadian citizens can secure TN status at a port of entry the same day with the right documentation. H-1B requires employer sponsorship through a lottery with a March registration window and a cap of 85,000 slots annually. For a qualified Canadian or Mexican project manager, TN is a faster and more predictable path.
Where can I find Senior Project Management jobs with TN visa sponsorship?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for Canadian and Mexican professionals searching for roles that include TN visa sponsorship. Rather than filtering through general job listings where sponsorship status is unclear, Migrate Mate lets you search Senior Project Management roles where employers have already confirmed TN eligibility, saving you from outreach that goes nowhere.
Can a Mexican citizen use TN for Senior Project Management roles?
Yes, Mexican citizens qualify for TN under USMCA's Management Consultant category, but the process differs from Canada. Mexican applicants must apply at a U.S. consulate and are subject to a separate annual allocation rather than the unlimited access Canadian citizens have at ports of entry. Processing times vary by consulate, so plan your timeline accordingly and confirm your employer has experience with Mexican TN applications.
What documents does my employer need to prepare for my TN application?
Your employer needs a detailed support letter on company letterhead that describes the project scope, your specific consulting deliverables, the project duration, and your qualifications. Vague language like 'managing projects' often triggers CBP questions or denials. The letter should demonstrate that your role constitutes professional management consulting under USMCA, not general employment. Your degree credentials and any relevant certifications should accompany the letter.
