Match your degree to the role classification
TN eligibility for Regional Coordinator roles depends on how the position is classified. A degree in social work, urban planning, public administration, or a related field strengthens your case. Mismatched credentials are the most common reason for port-of-entry denials.
Target employers with multi-site operations
Regional Coordinator roles exist primarily at organizations managing distributed teams or service areas across states. Nonprofits, healthcare networks, and government contractors are the most consistent sources of TN-sponsoring employers in this title category.
Search TN-sponsoring employers on Migrate Mate
Use Migrate Mate to filter Regional Coordinator openings by employers with active TN visa sponsorship history. This cuts out the guesswork of cold-applying to organizations that have never navigated a TN filing before.
Get your support letter drafted before the offer closes
Canadian professionals can present at the border same-day, but only with a completed employer support letter. Ask your hiring contact to prepare it during the offer stage, not after you've signed. Delays here can push your start date back by weeks.
Clarify whether your duties require a specific professional classification
Some Regional Coordinator roles blend management with licensed social work or counseling duties. If your job description includes clinical oversight, USCIS may require the employer to classify the role under a more specific TN category, affecting which credentials you'll need to present at the port of entry or consulate.
Confirm your employer understands TN has no USCIS petition for Canadians
Many U.S. employers assume all work visa sponsorship goes through USCIS. For Canadian TN applicants, the process bypasses USCIS entirely and happens at the port of entry. Walking your HR contact through this distinction avoids unnecessary delays in their internal approval process.

Find Regional Coordinator JobsRegional Coordinator TN Visa: Frequently Asked Questions
Does a Regional Coordinator role qualify for TN visa sponsorship?
It depends on how the role is scoped and what degree you hold. Regional Coordinator positions that align with social work, management consulting, or scientific technician functions can qualify under specific TN categories. The job duties and your credentials must both match an approved USMCA professional category. Roles that blend administrative management with unlicensed coordination work are harder to classify and may face scrutiny at entry.
How does TN visa sponsorship for Regional Coordinators compare to H-1B?
TN is faster and more predictable for this role. There's no lottery, no annual cap for Canadians, and no USCIS petition required if you're entering from Canada. H-1B requires employer sponsorship months in advance, a lottery selection, and USCIS processing that can take several months. For Regional Coordinator roles that clearly meet a TN professional category, TN is the more direct path as long as you have the qualifying degree.
What documents does my employer need to prepare for my TN application?
Your employer must provide a support letter that specifies your job title, a description of duties tied to a recognized TN professional category, your anticipated start date, and confirmation of your professional credentials. For Canadian nationals, this letter is presented directly at the port of entry alongside your degree transcripts. Mexican nationals submit it as part of their consular visa application package.
Where can I find Regional Coordinator jobs with TN visa sponsorship?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for Canadian and Mexican professionals seeking U.S. roles with TN visa sponsorship. You can filter by job title and sponsorship status to find Regional Coordinator openings at employers who have already agreed to support TN applicants, rather than spending time applying to companies unfamiliar with the process.
Can I switch to a different employer after starting a Regional Coordinator role on TN?
Yes, but you'll need to obtain a new TN authorization tied to your new employer before starting work there. TN status is employer-specific. For Canadian nationals, this typically means returning to a port of entry with new employer documentation. Mexican nationals will generally need a new visa stamp. Gaps between roles can affect your status, so coordinate the transition timing carefully with both employers.
