Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding TN Visa Sponsorship as a Reimbursement Manager
Align your degree to the Accountant category
TN classification for Reimbursement Managers depends on your credential matching the USMCA Accountant category. A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field strengthens your case significantly. A general business degree alone may draw scrutiny at the border.
Target healthcare systems and insurance payers
Reimbursement Manager roles are densely concentrated in hospital networks, physician groups, and managed care organizations. These employers process high volumes of TN filings and typically have HR teams familiar with USMCA professional categories, reducing friction during the offer stage.
Request a support letter that names USMCA
Your employer's offer letter must explicitly state the TN category, your professional credentials, and the job's qualifying duties. Vague letters citing only job title and salary get flagged. Ask HR to reference the USMCA Accountant classification directly in the support documentation.
Prepare for reimbursement-specific duty questions
Canadian professionals entering at a port of entry may face CBP questions about daily job duties. Frame your role around revenue cycle oversight, payer contract analysis, and claims adjudication. Generic finance manager descriptions raise classification doubts on the spot.
Use Migrate Mate to surface sponsoring employers
Many Reimbursement Manager postings don't advertise TN sponsorship openly. Use Migrate Mate to filter for employers with active TN and H-1B filing histories, so you're targeting companies already comfortable with USMCA professional sponsorship before you apply.
Confirm your employer's TN visa experience before accepting
Even though Canadians can activate TN status at the border without USCIS pre-approval, Mexican nationals require a consular visa stamp. Confirm early whether your employer will support the consular route and prepare the necessary documentation package on your timeline.

Find Reimbursement Manager JobsReimbursement Manager TN Visa: Frequently Asked Questions
Does a Reimbursement Manager role qualify for TN visa status?
Yes, Reimbursement Manager positions can qualify under the USMCA Accountant category if your duties center on revenue cycle management, payer reimbursement analysis, or claims oversight, and you hold a relevant degree in accounting or finance. The classification depends on job duties, not just the title, so the employer's support letter must clearly describe those duties.
How does TN visa sponsorship for Reimbursement Managers compare to H-1B?
TN has no annual lottery and no numerical cap for Canadian citizens, meaning you can start a Reimbursement Manager role as soon as CBP approves your entry, often the same day. H-1B requires surviving a random lottery, a months-long USCIS review, and an October 1 start date. For Mexican nationals, TN requires a consular interview but still avoids the H-1B lottery entirely.
What documents does a Canadian Reimbursement Manager need at the border?
You'll need a valid Canadian passport, an employer support letter specifying the USMCA Accountant category and your qualifying duties, and your academic credentials, typically a degree in accounting, finance, or a closely related field. Transcripts or a credential evaluation help if your degree title isn't obviously finance-related. CBP reviews everything at the port of entry.
Where can I find Reimbursement Manager jobs that offer TN visa sponsorship?
Most job postings don't flag TN sponsorship explicitly. Migrate Mate filters employer listings by USMCA and H-1B filing history, so you can identify healthcare systems, insurance payers, and revenue cycle companies that have already sponsored professionals in similar roles, saving time spent on employers unlikely to support the process.
Can a Mexican national get TN sponsorship for a Reimbursement Manager role?
Yes, Mexican citizens qualify for TN status in the USMCA Accountant category under the same occupational criteria as Canadians. The key difference is process: Mexican nationals must apply at a U.S. consulate and receive a TN visa stamp before traveling, rather than applying directly at a land border. Employers need to support the consular application timeline when making an offer.
