INTRODUCTION
Our vision is to transform how the world uses information to enrich life for all.
Micron Technology is a world leader in innovating memory and storage solutions that accelerate the transformation of information into intelligence, inspiring the world to learn, communicate and advance faster than ever.
Micron’s HIG HBM Digital Design Group is seeking a Digital Design Engineer to contribute to the architecture, RTL development, verification, and delivery of high‑performance digital logic blocks for advanced HBM memory products.
In this role, you will translate specifications into robust Verilog/SystemVerilog RTL, evaluate design tradeoffs across power, performance, and area, and apply strong fundamentals in digital logic, computer architecture, and low‑power methodologies. You will collaborate closely with verification, physical design, DFT, CAD, and system architecture teams to deliver high‑quality well‑documented digital designs. Success in this role requires strong technical communication skills, a proactive approach, and the ability to excel in a fast‑paced, highly collaborative engineering environment.
Responsibilities:
- Drive all stages of the digital design flow, including concept definition, specification, RTL implementation, verification support, documentation, and post‑silicon debug.
- Develop high‑quality RTL in Verilog/SystemVerilog using scalable, parameterized design techniques aligned to architectural specifications.
- Define and refine micro‑architecture for digital logic blocks, including FSMs, datapath, FIFOs, pipelines, and arbitration logic.
- Analyze tradeoffs across area, power, latency, and throughput, providing clear documentation and communication of design decisions.
- Perform CDC/RDC analysis, apply sound clocking and reset strategies, and identify early timing challenges.
- Support synthesis and static timing analysis by crafting and debugging SDC constraints, and interpreting timing reports.
- Apply low‑power design methodologies including CPF/UPF, clock gating, multi‑domain partitioning, and isolation/level shifter strategies.
- Collaborate with verification, DFT, physical design, and CAD teams to ensure robust design closure and high coverage, including scan/ATPG readiness and functional/formal verification support.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Electrical Engineering with strong understanding of computer architecture (3–5 years proven experience).
- Sophisticated RTL design proficiency using Verilog/SystemVerilog with experience translating specifications into maintainable micro‑architecture and RTL.
- Solid grasp of digital logic fundamentals including FSMs, pipelines, datapath/control partitioning, and buffering/flow control structures.
- Experience with synthesis, STA, investigating CDC/RDC issues, and creating timing constraints.
- Proficiency in Linux environments with scripting skills (Python and/or Perl) to automate design flows and improve productivity.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master’s degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering with 5–10 years of related experience.
- Knowledge of memory system concepts (DRAM/SRAM/eFuse (electrical fuse), ECC/CRC techniques, DFT methodologies including memory/logic BIST and Using AI.
- Experience with AMBA/AXI/APB or comparable bus protocols, and working with custom or third‑party macros using behavioral and timing models.

Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding TN Visa Sponsorship in Digital Product Management
Frame your credentials around CSA criteria
TN visa eligibility for product management sits under Computer Systems Analyst, not a dedicated category. Make sure your degree, résumé, and offer letter all use language tied to systems analysis, technical requirements, and software delivery, not generic business management.
Target employers with recent visa filing experience
Companies experienced with visa sponsorship understand the documentation requirements and move faster. Prioritize product roles at tech-forward firms where engineering and design teams already include international talent from Canada or Mexico who may have entered via TN status.
Get the offer letter language exactly right
CBP officers assess TN eligibility at the border based almost entirely on the offer letter. It must specify your title, duties rooted in systems analysis, your degree field, and that the role requires that degree. Vague descriptions of 'leading product strategy' routinely cause delays.
Use Migrate Mate to find verified sponsoring employers
Searching broadly for product manager roles wastes time on companies unfamiliar with TN sponsorship. Migrate Mate filters specifically for employers willing to sponsor TN visas for Digital Product Management roles, cutting down your search to actionable targets.
Ask HR to clarify USCIS vs. CBP processing before accepting
Canadians typically self-petition at a land port of entry, but some employers route everything through an attorney and request premium processing via USCIS. Confirm which path your employer follows before signing, since each has different timelines and documentation requirements.
Prepare a backup classification argument if denied at the border
If a CBP officer questions whether your product role qualifies under Computer Systems Analyst, a prepared secondary argument, citing your degree, technical deliverables, and systems ownership responsibilities, can turn a potential refusal into an approval on the same visit.
Digital Product Management TN Visa: Frequently Asked Questions
Does Digital Product Management actually qualify for a TN visa?
Yes, but the classification depends on how the role is defined. TN visas don't have a dedicated product management category, so eligibility falls under Computer Systems Analyst. Your offer letter and job duties must emphasize systems analysis, technical requirements gathering, and software delivery rather than general business strategy or leadership. Roles that are purely commercial or organizational without a strong technical component are harder to qualify.
How does TN compare to H-1B for Digital Product Management roles?
TN has a major structural advantage for Canadians: no annual lottery, no cap, and no multi-month wait for a decision. You can walk into a port of entry with your offer letter and leave with TN status the same day. H-1B visa requires entering a random lottery in April, waiting until October for the start date if selected, and surviving a much longer adjudication process. For Canadian product managers, TN is almost always the faster path to starting work.
What documentation does my employer need to provide for TN sponsorship?
Your employer needs to provide a detailed offer letter on company letterhead. It must include your job title, a description of duties that maps clearly to Computer Systems Analyst work, the stated requirement for a bachelor's degree in a relevant field, your anticipated start date, and confirmation of full-time employment. Some employers also provide a support letter from an immigration attorney, which strengthens the application when CBP officers ask follow-up questions.
Where can I find Digital Product Management jobs that sponsor TN visas?
Most standard job searches won't surface employers that actively support TN sponsorship, since many postings don't specify visa type. Migrate Mate is built specifically for this: it filters Digital Product Management roles by employers willing to sponsor TN visas for Canadian and Mexican professionals, so you're not wasting time applying to companies that will decline at the offer stage.
Can Mexican product managers get TN status the same way Canadians can?
No. Mexican TN applicants must go through consular processing at a U.S. embassy or consulate in Mexico rather than self-petitioning at the border. The qualifying criteria and documentation are the same, but the process takes longer and requires scheduling a visa interview. Mexican nationals are also subject to a separate TN allocation under USMCA, though demand has historically stayed well below the available numbers.
