Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding TN Visa Sponsorship as a Senior Director Strategic Partnerships
Frame your credentials around Management Consultant
TN visa eligibility for this role depends on classification under Management Consultant, not a generic executive category. Gather documentation showing your advisory and strategic deliverables, not just your organizational title.
Target employers with cross-border partnership portfolios
Companies managing USMCA-related supplier networks or international distribution agreements are already familiar with TN sponsorship mechanics. Prioritize outreach to those teams, since internal counsel often approves TN filings faster.
Request a written specialty occupation justification early
Ask your prospective employer to document why the role requires a Management Consultant-level professional. CBP officers at Canadian ports of entry can deny TN status on the spot if this language is absent from the offer letter.
Search for TN-ready roles using Migrate Mate
Filter Senior Director Strategic Partnerships openings by TN visa sponsorship history using Migrate Mate. This surfaces employers whose legal teams have already processed TN filings for comparable roles, cutting your vetting time significantly.
Negotiate TN renewal terms before accepting an offer
TN status is employer-tied and role-specific. Before signing, confirm your offer letter will support successive three-year renewals and that the employer will update the petition if your partnership scope expands substantially.

Find Senior Director Strategic Partnerships JobsSenior Director Strategic Partnerships TN Visa: Frequently Asked Questions
Does a Senior Director Strategic Partnerships role qualify for a TN visa?
Yes, but classification matters. CBP typically approves this role under the Management Consultant TN category, which requires you to demonstrate that the position involves providing advisory services at a strategic level. A generic executive title alone won't satisfy the requirement. Your offer letter must detail the consultative nature of the deliverables, not just your seniority.
How does TN visa sponsorship compare to H-1B for this role?
TN sponsorship is substantially faster for Canadian nationals, who can obtain status at the border with no USCIS petition and no lottery. H-1B requires a cap registration, a random lottery draw, and months of processing. For Mexican nationals, TN requires an I-129 petition through USCIS, which still skips the lottery entirely. For a senior-level role where timing affects compensation negotiation, TN is the more predictable path.
What documents does the sponsoring employer need to prepare?
Your employer needs a detailed offer letter specifying the role, its consultative responsibilities, your qualifications, and the TN category being claimed. For Canadian nationals, no advance USCIS filing is needed, but the documentation must be thorough enough to withstand CBP review at the port of entry. For Mexican nationals, the employer files Form I-129 with USCIS before you can enter the U.S. in TN status.
Where can I find Senior Director Strategic Partnerships jobs with TN visa sponsorship?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for this search. You can filter roles by TN visa sponsorship and target employers whose legal infrastructure already supports TN filings for strategic leadership positions. That's a meaningful filter because many companies open to sponsorship have never processed a TN for a senior partnerships role and may not know their own eligibility.
Can I switch employers on a TN visa if I receive a better offer?
Yes, but you need a new TN authorization tied to the new employer before you start working there. Canadian nationals can get a new TN at the border with updated documentation from the new employer. Mexican nationals need the new employer to file a fresh I-129 petition with USCIS. You cannot transfer TN status the way H-1B portability rules allow under AC21.
