Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Dept position requiring AZ or compact license and 2+ years of ED experience.
Details
- Emergency Department setting in a 38-bed facility
- Trauma Level III certified, Stroke Receiving, and STEMI Receiving facility
- Day shift schedule, 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM (3x12s)
- Uses Cerner EMR
- Must be willing to float
- Charge nurse experience preferred
Requirements
- Active RN license (AZ or Compact) required
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS
- NIHSS certification recommended but not required
- Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Department experience required
- Cerner EMR experience required
- No certifications may expire within the first 30 days of start
- No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
Additional Information
- Provide direct patient care in the Emergency Department utilizing the nursing process and critical thinking skills
- Delegate and supervise patient care activities among assigned staff
- Maintain clinical competencies through continuing education
- Black scrub color dress code
- Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible
- RTO requests must be less than 1 week
- Not eligible if previously worked as permanent staff at any CHS facility within the past 2 years
