ABOUT THE ROLE
Dinsmore is seeking a Paralegal at our Pittsburgh, PA location to join the Tax, Benefits & Wealth Planning Department.
Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality billable work
- Extensive case management of estate and trust administration
- Meet and correspond with clients, beneficiaries, banking institutions, insurance companies, appraisers, and court personnel
- Draft probate pleadings and other necessary legal documents for estate administration
- Assist, verify, and value estate assets, coordinate asset transfer and distribution and settlement liabilities
- Prepare necessary tax returns, including fiduciary returns, and file with appropriate taxing authorities
- Participate in administration of guardianships and trusts, including preparation and filing of inventories and accountings
- File life insurance claims and other death benefit claims
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- At least three years of probate and tax experience
- Highly skilled, detail oriented, flexible, and have the ability to prioritize a busy workload
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills are required
