DESCRIPTION
Are you interested in shaping the future of entertainment? Prime Video is re-inventing how customers connect with entertainment by combining high-quality live streaming, immersive interactive features, and exclusive access to some of the world's most loved movies, TV series, and live sports. All from a single service available on the web, mobile, and TV in 240+ countries and territories around the world. And we're just getting started.
The Prime Video Experience Design (PVXD) studio is seeking a customer-obsessed Sr. Product Designer to join our Growth design team. This role will be responsible for defining, articulating, and championing the future vision for how our customers rent, buy, and subscribe to the best entertainment content in their country. The right candidate leads with clarity and empathy, inspires others, and has a passion for solving problems at massive scale. You excel through innovation, creativity, and attention to detail. You are a proven strategic thinker and collaborator who flourishes in a large organization. You sincerely believe that design is more than how something looks, but also how it feels and functions. You enjoy great design debates and thrive on iterating based on customer feedback.
This role requires a designer with strong visual design skills who can elevate the craft and quality of our commerce surfaces. You bring a keen eye for typography, color, layout, motion, and visual hierarchy, and you apply that craft within the context of product design, ensuring our transactional experiences are not only intuitive but visually compelling across living room, mobile, web, and tablet surfaces in global markets. You are equally comfortable defining end-to-end interaction flows and delivering pixel-perfect, high-fidelity UI.
This role is for a hands-on designer who establishes a vision and strategy, scales their impact with proactive collaboration across cross-functional teams, and elevates the design quality of the entire team. You will develop strong relationships with fellow designers and partner closely with Product, Engineering, and Business counterparts throughout the organization to launch bar-raising experiences for customers around the world. As a creative lead, you have a passion for solving our customers' problems, always putting their needs first.
Key job responsibilities
You will own the design of commerce experiences across Prime Video's product surfaces, from early problem framing through high-fidelity, visually polished UI. Day to day, that means partnering with Product, Engineering, and Business teams to translate customer needs and business goals into clear interaction flows, wireframes, and detailed visual mockups that communicate both behaviour and craft. You will define and refine UI patterns, typography, iconography, color, and motion within our commerce surfaces, and contribute to scaling Prime Video's visual design language across living room, mobile, web, and tablet in collaboration with the broader PVXD team. You will present and defend your work to stakeholders and senior leadership, and measure the impact of your solutions through data, research, and customer feedback.
A day in the life
The Sr. Product Designer for Prime Video Commerce & Growth will solve some of our most complex customer problems. You are expected to think like an owner, always raise the quality of the CX, and be a relentless advocate for customers. On any given day you might map a complex subscription workflow in the morning and refine the visual design of a checkout surface in the afternoon. You will collaborate with UX Researchers, Product Managers, Engineers, and fellow UX Designers both within Prime Video and across Amazon, using your organisation and communication skills to bring clarity to chaos, working strategically with other team leaders and team members across the organisation.
About the team
You'll join a fun, growing team of UX practitioners who help each other develop and thrive. You will have a mentor and a manager that cares about you, your career, and your skills development and be expected to do the same for your team. You will have autonomy and ownership while contributing to the supportive culture on the team. We gather often to collaborate, ask questions, and grow together, so bring your unique skills and experience and be prepared to share, learn, and grow with us.

Senior Level UI Designer Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a senior level ui designer job?
Employers hiring at the senior level look for designers who can own a problem end to end, not just execute on a brief. A strong portfolio shows system-level thinking, measurable product impact, and decisions you drove rather than followed. Demonstrated experience mentoring junior designers and influencing product direction across teams gives candidates a clear edge over those with comparable years but narrower scope.
Which companies hire senior level ui designers?
Companies hiring senior level ui designers right now include Amazon, BetterUp, and Apple, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Hiring at this level tends to come from organizations with established product teams that need designers who can lead initiatives, not just contribute to them.
Are there remote senior level ui designer jobs?
Yes, remote availability is strong at this level. About 39% of senior level ui designer openings are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting how many product teams have normalized distributed design work. Senior designers with strong async communication skills and experience working across time zones are well positioned for these roles.
What makes a ui designer role senior level?
Senior level ui designer roles are defined by ownership and scope rather than task execution. Designers at this level set the visual and interaction direction for a product, build and govern design systems, and make calls that affect the full user experience. They are expected to mentor mid and junior designers, push back on product and engineering when needed, and drive alignment across functions without relying on close direction.
Which industries hire the most senior level ui designers?
Senior level ui designer roles concentrate in Technology & Software, Retail, and Banking & Financial Services, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. These sectors tend to invest heavily in product design at the senior level because competitive user experience directly affects retention, conversion, and growth.
