INTRODUCTION
The Ultrasound Sonographer must be clinically competent; takes images of various portions of the body to assist medical officers in diagnosis of diseases and anomalies. The Sonographer has to have a good working knowledge of cross sectional anatomy. They have to have the ability to distinguish between normal and abnormal anatomy during ultrasound exams. They are responsible for care and safety of patients. Working knowledge of the most recent version of the Arkansas State University Diagnostic Medical Sonography Clinical Instruction Position Description.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- CPR certified.
- ARDMS and or registry eligible or be current student in the Ultrasound sonographer program and covered all of their positioning/scanning skills.
