- Collecting patient histories
- Supporting physical exams
- Performing laboratory procedures
- Assisting with diagnostic imaging
- Anesthesia monitoring
- Dentistry procedures
- Observing or assisting with surgical cases
Externs will also gain experience in patient care, treatment administration, and hospital workflow.
