Pegasus Tech Ventures is a global venture capital firm based in Silicon Valley. ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Fund Accounting Support: Assist in maintaining the general ledger for multiple fund entities, including recording journal entries for accruals, prepaid expenses, and management fees.
- Cash Management: Reconcile cash receipts against bank reporting; monitor and record security transactions (trades, interest payments, and dividends).
- Month-End Close: Support the month-end and year-end close processes, helping to prepare financial statements, balance sheet reconciliations, and reporting packages.
- Accounts Payable/Receivable: Process invoices, record incoming payments, and resolve any variances or unresolved balances in a timely manner.
- Data Analysis & Modeling: Use advanced Excel functions to manage large datasets, track budget-vs-actual variances, and assist with Net Asset Value (NAV) calculations.
- Compliance & Audit: Support the team during annual audits and tax filings, ensuring all financial records comply with GAAP and internal policies.
- Collaborative Projects: Work across departments to help streamline accounting workflows and support the unique financial needs of our corporate partners and portfolio companies.
- Other tasks / projects that may be assigned.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 1+ year of experience in an Accounting related role preferred.
- Experience in consolidated international accounting.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related fields. Having an advanced degree is a plus.
- Knowledge of US GAAP.
- Knowledge of JGAAP is a plus.
- Native level Japanese language skill for speaking, reading and writing is a plus.
- Experience in financial and accounting management in a public company is a plus.
- Self-starter who is highly motivated, with high attention to detail and proven ability to multitask and work in a dynamic environment.
- Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Project management experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.) and financial management software.
- Detail oriented and analytical.
- Must be able to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced multi-team environment.
- Experience / knowledge in fund financials is a plus.
