Position Highlights:
- Free-standing, dedicated psychiatric emergency room.
- Safety-net hospital serving Medicaid/Medical/uninsured population with severe and chronic mental illness.
- Opportunities for teaching and mentorship of both residents and medical students.
- Located in Riverside, CA, only one hour East of Los Angeles.
- Flexible schedule.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Board certified in Psychiatry.
- Subspecialty boarding in Forensics, Addictions, or CL of added benefit, but not required.
- Experience in acute psychiatric care.
- Commitment to resident education, academic excellence, and professionalism.

Riverside University Health System (RUHS) is a 439-bed University-affiliated teaching hospital with over 60 hospital-based primary and specialty care clinics located throughout Riverside county. Residents in all specialties, medical students and critical care fellowships rotate through our site. This facility has been named a Top Performer on Key Quality Measures by The Joint Commission, is a Level I Trauma Center, has a new Center of Excellence for Research and is a Primary Stroke Center.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
The compensation range listed is for starting base compensation only and is adjusted based upon years of experience and/or faculty rank: $390,000 - $450,000. This amount does not include variable compensation or extra productivity and is subject to the individual department compensation plans.
