ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Skills Required:
- Proficiency in using precision measuring tools and equipment. Familiarity with geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
- Hands-on ZEISS CMM expertise. Develop and run Calypso programs, validate measurement results against drawing tolerances, and coach inspectors on proper setup and technique.
Education Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Associate degree in a technical field preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Performs inspections, checks testing and sampling procedures for product manufacturing processes.
- Carries out packaging line, manufacturing inspections and sampling and testing of incoming components and raw materials to ensure that company standards are met.
- Monitors critical equipment and instrumentation.
- May draft procedures and assist with validating or troubleshooting testing methods, including assays.
- May apply approval or rejection labels to bulk raw materials once analytical data is evaluated.
Quality Control:
- Perform inspections of machined parts and assemblies for conformance to specifications using precision measuring tools and equipment.
- Complete assignments in a timely manner.
Documentation:
- Maintain accurate and detailed inspection records to support quality control procedures.
- Upon identification of defects, create Non-Conformance Report (NCR).
- Complete all paperwork and documentation required with order.
Reporting:
- Communicate inspection results clearly and concisely to production teams and management.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and improve production efficiency.
Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with all applicable quality standards and regulations.
- Comply with safety standards.
Collaboration:
- Work closely with the production team to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Monitors critical equipment and instrumentation.
Experience:
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a QC Inspector role, preferably in a machine shop environment.
- Be able to follow instructions and procedures and work with minimal supervision.
Certifications:
- Quality control certifications such as ASQ Certified Quality Inspector (CQI) would be an advantage.
Knowledge:
- Solid understanding of quality control standards (ASME, ANSI) and regulations in the semiconductor manufacturing industry.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift to 35 lbs and stand for extended periods of time.
