Tools and Equipment: Measurement tools not limited to, but including: micrometers, calipers, thread gauges, dial indicators, hardness testers, surface finish gauges and CMM. Material handling equipment: fork truck, cranes, and hoists.
Sample Work Procedure:
- Performs initial inspection of parts and communicates findings.
- Conducts in-process inspection on repaired parts after the machining operation. (Verifies dimensions prior to breaking mill or lathe set-up.)
- Utilizes CMM to perform pre and post inspection of parts.
- Partners with other departments to identify quality problems and implement solutions.
- Performs daily housekeeping as required.
- Observes all safety rules.
