Which companies sponsor visas for data center jobs in Colorado?
Large technology and cloud infrastructure employers with a significant presence in Colorado, including Google, Microsoft, and Flexential, have established records of sponsoring work visas for data center roles. Colocation and managed services providers operating facilities along the Front Range also sponsor international workers, particularly for network engineering, systems administration, and critical facilities management positions.
Which cities in Colorado have the most data center sponsorship jobs?
Denver and its northern suburbs, including Englewood and Centennial, concentrate the largest share of data center employment in Colorado. Colorado Springs is a growing secondary hub, supported by military-adjacent technology infrastructure. Boulder sees demand for network and cloud operations roles tied to its technology company presence. Most visa-sponsored positions are clustered within these Front Range metro areas.
Which visa types are most common for data center roles in Colorado?
The H-1B visa is the most common category for data center roles requiring a bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field, such as network engineering, electrical engineering, or computer science. Roles involving hands-on facility operations that may not meet specialty occupation requirements sometimes qualify under the EB-3 employment-based immigrant visa category through employer-sponsored permanent residency processes instead.
How to find data center visa sponsorship jobs in Colorado?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international job seekers and filters data center roles in Colorado by visa sponsorship history, making it easier to identify employers actively hiring foreign nationals. You can filter by location and job category to focus on Front Range employers with documented sponsorship activity, which saves significant time compared to manually researching individual company hiring policies.
Are there any Colorado-specific considerations for data center visa sponsorship?
Colorado's Equal Pay for Equal Work Act requires employers to post compensation ranges in job listings, which gives international applicants useful visibility into prevailing wage alignment before applying. Data center roles in Colorado also frequently require background checks tied to facility security requirements, which can affect onboarding timelines for candidates undergoing concurrent visa processing. Colorado State University and CU Boulder supply a notable pipeline of engineering talent familiar to local sponsors.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored data center jobs in Colorado?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
