Which companies sponsor visas for operations project managers in Colorado?
Colorado's largest visa sponsors for operations project manager roles include aerospace and defense contractors such as Lockheed Martin and Raytheon, technology companies concentrated in Denver and Boulder, and healthcare systems like UCHealth and SCL Health. Federal contractors with facilities around Colorado Springs and the Denver Tech Center also appear regularly in Department of Labor LCA filings for operations and project management positions.
Which visa types are most common for operations project manager roles in Colorado?
The H-1B visa is the most common visa for operations project managers in Colorado, as the role generally qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring a bachelor's degree in business, engineering, supply chain, or a related field. Candidates with Canadian or Mexican citizenship may also qualify under the TN visa category, and intracompany transfers to Colorado offices may be eligible for L-1B status.
Which cities in Colorado have the most operations project manager sponsorship jobs?
Denver and its surrounding metro area, including Aurora and Lakewood, account for the largest share of operations project manager sponsorship opportunities in Colorado. Boulder attracts roles tied to technology and clean energy companies, while Colorado Springs is a notable hub for defense and aerospace contractors. Fort Collins sees demand from advanced manufacturing and semiconductor-adjacent employers in the northern Front Range.
How to find operations project manager visa sponsorship jobs in Colorado?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, so you can search for operations project manager roles in Colorado without sorting through positions that don't offer sponsorship. The platform aggregates openings from employers across the Denver metro, Colorado Springs, and Boulder, letting you focus your application effort on companies with an active track record of sponsoring international hires in project and operations management.
Are there state-specific considerations for operations project managers seeking sponsorship in Colorado?
Colorado's Equal Pay for Equal Work Act requires employers to post compensation ranges publicly, which gives international candidates useful context when evaluating whether an offer meets H-1B prevailing wage requirements set by the Department of Labor. The state's concentration of federal contractors also means many operations project manager roles may require security clearance eligibility, which can affect sponsorship timelines and employer willingness to sponsor non-citizen candidates.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored operations project manager jobs in Colorado?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
