Sr Director, Data Domain Owner
Summary
Lead the strategy and governance for one of DaVita's most important enterprise data assets: Payer Data. As the Payer Data Domain Owner, you'll drive the vision, roadmap, governance model, and adoption of payer data across the organization, ensuring it is trusted, accessible, and capable of powering critical business, operational, clinical, and AI-driven initiatives. You'll partner with senior leaders across the Village to influence priorities, establish standards, and unlock enterprise value through high-quality data and scalable data products.
The Domain Owner will coordinate closely with Data Stewards and Data Custodians across several ‘sub-domains’ (Patient, Provider, Payer, Teammate, Village). This role is essential for making the centralization successful because they serve as the voice of the business for that data, ensuring the new Central Data Hub team builds and executes use cases that meet business needs.
Job Description:
Strategic Leadership & Vision
- Set and communicate a clear vision and priorities for data efforts within the domain, ensuring alignment with Village-wide priorities such as improving clinical outcomes, driving census growth, and inflecting Teammate engagement and retention.
Stakeholder Collaboration & Alignment
- Partner with departmental management and business leaders to develop strategic and tactical solutions that support business strategies. Coordinate with other Domain Owners and the enterprise data product team to ensure alignment across domains and limit overlapping efforts.
- Coordinate with Village leadership to ensure alignment with Village-wide priorities, including working with business lane leaders on high-value data issues and with data management leadership for the coordinated use of resources.
- Promote data product adoption with business users in governance forums. When needed, escalate disagreements on prioritization to Data or Business leadership for resolution.
Governance & Execution
- Decision Rights (Governance): be final decision-maker for data issues and policy changes within domain. Facilitate Data Governance Council (DGC) and guide agenda/decisions required in governance.
- Guidance and Support: Support Data Stewards and Data Custodians as they resolve data quality issues and build data products within their respective sub-domains by helping to prioritize issues and initiatives.
- Organize and run regular Domain Working Groups to drive accountability for sub-domain teams (Data Stewards and Data Custodians) and ensure alignment on topics like data definitions.
- Defining Standards: establish and approve the master definitions, quality rules, and metadata for data domain.
- Risk Management: own the responsibility for compliance and regulatory risks associated with their data (e.g., privacy rules for patient data).
- Prioritization: work with the new central hub team to prioritize data projects and quality initiatives based on the business value of domain, ensuring CDO teammates are focused on the most critical needs.

Search Product Manager Jobs in ColoradoProduct Manager Jobs in Colorado: Frequently Asked Questions
Which companies in Colorado sponsor visas for product managers?
Palantir Technologies in Denver is among the most active sponsors for product manager roles in Colorado. Other employers with a track record of H-1B sponsorship in the state include Ping Identity, Vertafore, and Arrow Electronics. Larger tech-adjacent firms like Oracle and Dish Network also have Colorado offices that periodically sponsor product management positions.
Which visa types are most common for product manager roles in Colorado?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for product managers in Colorado, as the role generally qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring a bachelor's degree or higher in a related field like computer science, business, or engineering. Australian nationals may pursue the E-3 as an alternative. Candidates already holding OPT or STEM OPT authorization are also competitive with Colorado employers open to sponsorship.
How to find product manager visa sponsorship jobs in Colorado?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship eligibility, making it straightforward to browse product manager roles in Colorado without sifting through positions that don't support international candidates. You can search by role and state to surface active openings at companies that have sponsored visas before. It's a practical starting point if you're targeting Denver or Boulder-area employers.
Which cities in Colorado have the most product manager sponsorship jobs?
Denver concentrates the largest share of product manager sponsorship opportunities in Colorado, driven by its established tech and fintech sector. Boulder is a close second, home to numerous SaaS startups and scale-ups that regularly hire international talent. Colorado Springs has a smaller but growing tech presence, particularly in defense-adjacent software companies that occasionally sponsor product roles.
Are there any Colorado-specific factors product managers should know before applying for sponsorship?
Colorado's Equal Pay for Equal Work Act requires employers to post compensation ranges in job listings, which gives international candidates useful context when evaluating whether an offer will meet the H-1B prevailing wage requirement for the role and location. Denver and Boulder are in the same Department of Labor wage region, so prevailing wage levels reflect the competitive salaries common at Colorado's mid-size and enterprise tech companies.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored product manager jobs in Colorado?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
