Which companies sponsor visas for product managers in Tennessee?
Nashville-based healthcare IT firms are the most consistent sponsors, including HCA Healthcare, Philips Healthcare, and Change Healthcare. Outside healthcare, FedEx in Memphis, Unum Group in Chattanooga, and Oracle's Nashville presence have filed H-1B visa petitions for product management roles. Enterprise software vendors and logistics tech companies operating across the state also appear regularly in Department of Labor disclosure data for product manager sponsorships.
Which visa types are most common for product manager roles in Tennessee?
The H-1B is the most common visa for product managers in Tennessee, as the role consistently qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring a bachelor's degree in a related field such as computer science, engineering, or business. Candidates already holding L-1B or O-1 visa status sometimes transfer into Tennessee-based roles without needing a new petition. Canadian and Mexican nationals working as product managers may qualify for TN visa status under the NAFTA/USMCA management consultant or engineer categories, depending on role specifics.
Which cities in Tennessee have the most product manager sponsorship jobs?
Nashville accounts for the largest share of product manager sponsorship activity in Tennessee, driven by its concentration of healthcare IT, fintech, and SaaS companies. Memphis is the second-largest market, with demand tied to logistics technology and supply chain software at firms like FedEx and AutoZone. Knoxville and Chattanooga are smaller but active, particularly in defense technology and manufacturing software, where product managers with technical backgrounds are sought.
How to find product manager visa sponsorship jobs in Tennessee?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, making it straightforward to browse product manager roles in Tennessee without sifting through positions that don't support international candidates. You can narrow results by city, industry, and visa type to focus on Nashville's healthcare IT cluster or Memphis's logistics tech sector. Migrate Mate also surfaces employer sponsorship history, which helps you prioritize companies with a demonstrated track record of filing H-1B petitions for PM roles.
Are there state-specific considerations for product managers seeking sponsorship in Tennessee?
Tennessee has no state income tax on wages, which affects total compensation comparisons but does not change federal H-1B prevailing wage requirements. Employers must still meet Department of Labor wage levels for the Nashville, Memphis, or Knoxville metropolitan statistical areas, which are set independently of state tax policy. Tennessee's large healthcare and logistics sectors create consistent PM demand, and proximity to Vanderbilt University and the University of Tennessee provides a talent pipeline that some employers actively recruit from for early-career product roles.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored product manager jobs in Tennessee?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
