Which companies sponsor visas for product managers in South Carolina?
Larger employers with established immigration programs are the most reliable sponsors for product manager roles in South Carolina. Companies like Bosch (Chapin and Anderson), Michelin (Greenville), and technology-focused employers in Columbia and Charleston have histories of H-1B visa sponsorship. Financial technology firms operating out of Charleston and healthcare technology companies serving the MUSC ecosystem also appear in Department of Labor LCA disclosure data for product management positions.
Which visa types are most common for product manager roles in South Carolina?
The H-1B is the most common visa for product manager roles in South Carolina, as product management typically qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring a bachelor's degree in a relevant field like business, computer science, or engineering. L-1B visas are also an option for international employees transferring within multinational companies, which is relevant given South Carolina's significant base of European manufacturers like Michelin and BMW (in nearby Spartanburg).
Which cities in South Carolina have the most product manager sponsorship jobs?
Columbia and Charleston see the highest volume of product manager sponsorship activity in South Carolina. Columbia benefits from state government technology contracts, University of South Carolina's tech pipeline, and growing fintech presence. Charleston has attracted software and logistics technology employers. Greenville is worth watching given its manufacturing and automotive technology employers, some of which hire product managers for connected products and operational technology roles.
How to find product manager visa sponsorship jobs in South Carolina?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically to employers willing to sponsor work visas, so you can search product manager roles in South Carolina without sorting through listings that won't consider international candidates. Because sponsorship willingness isn't always stated in job postings, using a dedicated platform like Migrate Mate saves significant time. Filtering by South Carolina and the product manager role category will surface relevant openings from employers with active sponsorship programs.
Are there state-specific considerations for product managers seeking visa sponsorship in South Carolina?
South Carolina's product manager market skews toward manufacturing technology, automotive, and healthcare IT rather than pure software, which affects how employers frame specialty occupation qualifications for H-1B purposes. Employers must pay the Department of Labor prevailing wage for the specific location and role level, and prevailing wages in Columbia or Greenville differ from major tech hubs. University of South Carolina and Clemson University both produce engineering and business graduates who compete for the same roles, so international candidates often come through employer-sponsored transfers or targeted recruitment.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored product manager jobs in South Carolina?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
