Which companies in Ohio sponsor visas for product managers?
Several large Ohio employers have a track record of sponsoring work visas for product managers. These include Nationwide Insurance and JPMorgan Chase in Columbus, Progressive Insurance in Mayfield Village, Procter & Gamble in Cincinnati, and Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland. Larger tech-forward companies and enterprise firms are generally more likely to have established immigration sponsorship processes than smaller startups.
Which visa types are most common for product manager roles in Ohio?
The H-1B visa is the most common visa for product managers in Ohio, as the role typically qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring a bachelor's degree in a related field such as computer science, engineering, or business. Some candidates also enter on L-1B visas when transferring within a multinational company. Australians may pursue the E-3 visa, and Canadian or Mexican nationals may qualify under the TN visa category.
Which cities in Ohio have the most product manager visa sponsorship jobs?
Columbus is Ohio's most active city for product manager sponsorship jobs, driven by its concentration of insurance, fintech, and retail technology companies. Cincinnati is a strong second, with consumer goods and logistics firms headquartered there. Cleveland offers opportunities in healthcare technology and financial services. Smaller cities like Dayton occasionally have openings tied to defense and manufacturing technology companies.
How to find product manager visa sponsorship jobs in Ohio?
Migrate Mate is a job board built specifically for international candidates seeking visa sponsorship in the U.S. You can filter by state and role to see product manager positions in Ohio where employers have indicated sponsorship availability. This is more targeted than general job boards because every listing is screened for sponsorship relevance, saving you time filtering out roles that won't support international candidates.
Are there any Ohio-specific factors product managers should know about visa sponsorship?
Ohio's cost of living is lower than coastal tech hubs, which affects prevailing wage determinations that employers must meet when filing H-1B Labor Condition Applications. This can make sponsorship more accessible for mid-market companies. Ohio State University and Case Western Reserve University also produce strong pipelines of locally trained product and technology professionals, meaning some employers already have familiarity with sponsoring international graduates from those programs.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored product manager jobs in Ohio?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
