Which companies sponsor visas for product managers in Kentucky?
Louisville-based Humana is one of the most active sponsors for product and technology roles in Kentucky, given its scale as a major health insurance company. Lexmark International in Lexington, Tempur Sealy, and Kindred Healthcare have also sponsored product management positions. Larger logistics and distribution companies operating in the Louisville metro, including those with regional headquarters tied to UPS's air hub presence, occasionally sponsor product roles as well.
Which visa types are most common for product manager roles in Kentucky?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for product managers in Kentucky, as the role typically qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring at least a bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as computer science, engineering, or business. Some candidates already holding O-1 visas or on F-1 OPT also secure product manager roles in the state. Employers in Kentucky with multinational operations may occasionally use L-1B visas for specialized knowledge transfers into product functions.
How to find product manager visa sponsorship jobs in Kentucky?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international candidates seeking visa sponsorship roles, including product manager positions in Kentucky. You can filter by state and role to surface employers in Louisville and Lexington who have a documented history of sponsoring work visas. Migrate Mate focuses exclusively on sponsorship-willing employers, which removes the guesswork of reaching out to companies that may not support visa applicants.
Which cities in Kentucky have the most product manager sponsorship jobs?
Louisville is the clear hub for product manager sponsorship jobs in Kentucky, driven by its concentration of healthcare, logistics, and financial services companies. Lexington is the second-largest market, with technology and manufacturing employers including Lexmark maintaining product teams there. Outside these two cities, product manager openings with sponsorship are limited, so most international candidates focus their search on the Louisville metro.
Are there any state-specific considerations for product managers pursuing sponsorship in Kentucky?
Kentucky's product management job market is heavily shaped by its healthcare and logistics industries, so candidates with domain experience in health tech, supply chain, or enterprise software are better positioned with local employers. The University of Kentucky and University of Louisville produce engineering and MBA graduates who enter product roles, creating some local competition. Employers filing H-1B petitions must pay the Department of Labor's prevailing wage for the Louisville or Lexington metropolitan area, which varies by experience level and is publicly searchable through the DOL OFLC database.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored product manager jobs in Kentucky?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
