Which companies sponsor visas for product managers in Washington?
Microsoft, Amazon, and Google are among the most active sponsors for product managers in Washington, particularly in the Seattle-Bellevue-Redmond corridor. Mid-size tech companies like Expedia, Tableau, and Zillow have also sponsored product manager roles historically. Enterprise software, cloud infrastructure, and e-commerce are the sectors where sponsorship activity is most concentrated in the state.
Which visa types are most common for product manager roles in Washington?
The H-1B visa is the most common visa for product managers in Washington, as the role typically qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring a bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as computer science, engineering, or business. Australian nationals working in Washington may use the E-3 visa instead. L-1B and O-1A visas also appear for experienced PMs transferring within multinationals or with exceptional records.
How to find product manager visa sponsorship jobs in Washington?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, making it straightforward to browse product manager roles in Washington without sorting through positions that don't offer sponsorship. You can filter by location to focus on Seattle, Bellevue, Redmond, or statewide. This is particularly useful for product managers on OPT or H-1B transfer timelines who need confirmed sponsorship before applying.
Which cities in Washington have the most product manager sponsorship jobs?
Seattle accounts for the majority of product manager sponsorship activity in Washington, driven by its concentration of large tech employers and a dense startup ecosystem. Bellevue and Redmond are strong secondary markets, with Microsoft headquartered in Redmond and a growing number of enterprise tech firms in Bellevue. Outside the eastside, Kirkland also hosts notable tech offices with PM hiring activity.
Are there any Washington-specific considerations for product managers seeking visa sponsorship?
Washington's tech industry is heavily concentrated in the Puget Sound region, meaning most sponsored product manager roles will require on-site or hybrid presence in the Seattle metro. The state has no income tax, which affects how employers structure compensation offers. Washington also receives a disproportionately high share of H-1B cap-exempt petitions through its research universities, which can benefit PMs with ties to institutions like the University of Washington.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored product manager jobs in Washington?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
