Who We Are
Verkada is transforming how organizations protect their people and places with an integrated, privacy-sensitive AI-powered platform that includes solutions for video security, access control, air quality sensors, alarms, intercoms, and visitor management.
We’ve got serious momentum in the market: more than 30,000 customers (including 100+ of the Fortune 500), a $5.8B valuation, more than $1 billion in annualized bookings, and backing from CapitalG, Sequoia Capital, General Catalyst, Felicis Ventures, Next47 and more. Physical AI is one of the most consequential technology shifts of our time, and Verkada is at the center of it.
You can look at all kinds of communities to see our platform’s impact in the world. It's the retailer that uses our agentic AI to deter theft before it happens. The warehouse that uses AI-powered alerts to make sure its team is protected on the floor with proper PPE. The school that’s alerted to a threat in real-time and triggers a lockdown in seconds, not minutes. We’re rapidly scaling this impact: today, more than 2 million Verkada devices are deployed across 170+ countries.
About the Role
Verkada’s Connectivity products secure people and property in remote and edge environments. Our team brings Verkada’s threat detection and deterrence anywhere you need it - allowing our cameras and other security solutions to be deployed in locations that don’t have stable internet or power.
We are looking for a Lead Product Manager to grow Verkada’s new Cloud-Managed Security Trailers. In this role, your mission will be to secure people and places beyond customers’ buildings. You will partner with the Verkada field and integrators to enable a worldwide operations model.
- Own strategy and execution for Verkada's Cloud-Managed Security Trailers
- Define and drive a GTM plan that delivers a seamless customer experience through a partner-led operations model
- Advance the MT81 product - solar management, cellular reliability, and AI security capabilities
- Scale the Verkada Qualified Trailer Partner Program
What You Bring
- 5+ years of experience in product management and operations, preferably in B2B
- Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or similar quantitative field. MS, PhD, or MBA optional
- Proven history of launching and scaling hardware and/or embedded systems products. Strong customer intuition, technical depth, and ability to navigate tradeoffs are critical to success in this role
- Excited to roll up your sleeves and get out of the office. You'll spend time with installers, integrators, and customers to understand the real-world constraints of deployment - and use that insight to shape the product
- Able to build and operationalize partner-led business models from scratch. You bring a structured mindset to ambiguous problems, from market sizing and pricing to channel strategy and ROI modeling
- Ability to lead across strategy and execution. We pride ourselves in sweating the details and search for this in candidates
- Real passion for craftsmanship and product details. If you’ve spent days retrofitting your house with the latest smart home technology, you’ll like it here
- Foundational understanding of firmware, networking, device bring-up, electrical, and mechanical design aspects of hardware

Which companies sponsor visas for product managers in California?
Large tech companies are the most consistent sponsors, including Google, Apple, Meta, Salesforce, Adobe, and Intuit. Mid-size and growth-stage companies headquartered in the Bay Area, Los Angeles, and San Diego also file H-1B petitions for product managers regularly. DOL Labor Condition Application disclosure data confirms California employers account for a significant share of all H-1B filings in product management roles nationally.
Which visa types are most common for product manager roles in California?
The H-1B is the most common visa for product managers in California, as the role typically qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring a bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as computer science, engineering, or business. L-1B transfers are also used when candidates move from an overseas office of a California-based multinational. Australian nationals sometimes pursue the E-3 visa, which has no lottery and is frequently used at California tech employers.
Which cities in California have the most product manager sponsorship jobs?
The San Francisco Bay Area, including San Jose, Mountain View, Sunnyvale, and San Francisco proper, accounts for the largest concentration of sponsored product manager roles in California. Los Angeles is a strong secondary market, particularly in adtech, entertainment technology, and e-commerce. San Diego has a smaller but growing cluster, especially in biotech and defense technology companies that hire technical product managers.
How to find product manager visa sponsorship jobs in California?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international candidates seeking visa sponsorship, making it straightforward to filter product manager roles by California location without sorting through jobs that don't offer sponsorship. Migrate Mate's job board surfaces employers with an active H-1B filing history in product management, saving significant research time. Creating a profile and setting up California-specific product manager alerts helps you respond quickly when new roles are posted.
Are there any California-specific factors that affect product manager visa sponsorship?
California's high cost of living means Department of Labor prevailing wages for product managers are among the highest in the country, which affects what employers must offer to file a compliant Labor Condition Application. California also feeds significant product manager talent pipelines through UC Berkeley, Stanford, UCLA, and USC, so competition is intense. Employers in regulated industries like fintech, healthcare technology, and defense may have additional hiring compliance requirements that can affect sponsorship timelines.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored product manager jobs in California?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
