INTRODUCTION
The Global Product Manager (Director) — Brady Enterprise Platform is responsible for owning the strategy, roadmap, and commercial execution of Brady's strategic software platform. Brady Enterprise Platform is the foundation on which Brady's current and future software products will be built — providing common services such as identity, billing, RBAC, device integration, customer-system integration, APIs, and data services so that every Brady software product is built on the platform rather than next to it. This role is the single accountable business owner of the platform: defining what Brady Enterprise Platform is, what it is not, how it is funded, how it is adopted across Brady's BUs, and how it is sold and integrated into customer environments. The Global Product Manager partners closely with R&D leadership (who own the technical execution and architecture of the platform), Workstation Cloud and other BU product leaders, Sales, and customers — translating business needs into platform requirements that accelerate Brady's broader software journey.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
-
Platform Strategy & Roadmap: Own the global Brady Enterprise Platform product strategy and multi-year roadmap. Define what the platform delivers, in what sequence, and how each release moves Brady's software business forward. Adjudicate competing demands from BUs and translate them into a coherent platform roadmap.
-
Build vs. Buy Decisions: Lead the business-side build-vs-buy decisions for platform components — identity, billing, observability, integration platforms, and other commodity infrastructure. Partner with the CTO and R&D to ensure Brady builds only what is genuinely differentiating and buys what is commodity.
-
BU Adoption & Internal Customer Success: Treat Brady's BU engineering and product teams as Brady Enterprise Platform's internal customers. Drive adoption of the platform across Brady software products.
-
Customer & Channel Engagement: Develop deep understanding of how Brady's customers integrate software into their enterprise environments — ERP, MES, HIS, EH&S, and adjacent systems. Partner with Sales and customer-facing leaders to ensure Brady Enterprise Platform supports the integration patterns customers actually require.
-
Commercial Execution: Own Brady Enterprise Platform's P&L view, and pricing posture. Build the business cases that govern annual gate reviews and scaling decisions.
-
Cross-Functional Leadership: Partner closely with R&D leadership, Business Leaders, Product Managers, Sales, Marketing, and Operations. Serve as the connective tissue between technical execution (owned by R&D) and commercial outcomes (owned by the business).
-
Product Culture: Champion rigorous product management discipline within the platform team and across Brady's broader software portfolio. Set the bar for how product decisions are made, documented, and communicated.
-
Contribute to Software Leadership: As a key member of Brady's software leadership group, align Brady Enterprise Platform strategy with Brady's broader software portfolio vision and growth priorities.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
-
Bachelor's degree in a technical field is required, with a strong preference for candidates from a Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related Engineering background. MBA is a plus.
-
Minimum of 10 years of product management experience in B2B software, with a strong preference for experience owning a software platform (multi-tenant SaaS, developer platform, or similar) on which other products were built.
-
Minimum of 3 years leading product strategy at a Director or above level. Experience leading product teams in a mid-sized industrial or B2B company ($500M–$5B) preferred.
-
Demonstrated success building or scaling B2B SaaS products, including hands-on experience integrating commercial components such as identity (Auth0, Okta), billing (Stripe), and observability tooling.
-
Strong working knowledge of Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and BigQuery preferred; willingness to lead a GCP-default platform strategy required.
-
Experience with hardware-software integration — platforms or products that connect to physical devices such as printers, scanners, RFID readers, IoT sensors, or industrial equipment — strongly preferred.
-
Experience supporting customer integration with enterprise systems (ERP, MES, HIS, EH&S, asset management) — understands the operational and commercial realities of selling software into industrial and regulated environments.
-
Strong commercial instincts: understands P&L drivers, platform economics, and the dynamics of internal customer adoption versus external customer revenue.
-
Track record of successful product launches across the full lifecycle — from strategy and requirements definition through launch, customer adoption, and commercial scale.
-
Comfort with on-prem and air-gapped deployment requirements for government, defense, and regulated customers.
-
Exceptional communicator — able to influence and align across technical leadership (CTO, R&D), commercial leaders, BU leaders, and customers.
-
Naturally curious, with a relentless drive to understand customer needs and translate them into platform capabilities that make Brady's broader software business more successful.
-
Up to 30% travel, international and domestic.

Which companies sponsor visas for product managers in Wisconsin?
Epic Systems in Verona, Fiserv in Milwaukee, Johnson Controls in Milwaukee, and American Family Insurance in Madison are among the Wisconsin employers with documented histories of sponsoring work visas for product managers. These companies operate at scale in healthcare IT, fintech, building technology, and insurance software, areas where product management roles frequently meet the specialty occupation requirements needed for H-1B visa sponsorship.
Which visa types are most common for product manager roles in Wisconsin?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for product managers in Wisconsin, as the role typically requires a bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field such as computer science, engineering, or business. Candidates already holding an F-1 with OPT or STEM OPT authorization can begin working before H-1B sponsorship is initiated. L-1B intracompany transfers are also used at large multinational employers like Johnson Controls and Fiserv.
Which cities in Wisconsin have the most product manager sponsorship jobs?
Madison and Milwaukee account for the majority of product manager sponsorship opportunities in Wisconsin. Madison is home to Epic Systems, one of the largest healthcare software companies in the country, along with a growing startup community tied to the University of Wisconsin. Milwaukee concentrates financial technology, manufacturing software, and industrial technology employers, including Fiserv, Johnson Controls, and Rockwell Automation, all of which hire product managers.
How to find product manager visa sponsorship jobs in Wisconsin?
Migrate Mate filters product manager job listings specifically by visa sponsorship, so you can search Wisconsin-based roles without sorting through employers unlikely to sponsor. The platform is designed for international candidates, which means listings are screened for sponsorship intent rather than relying on generic job postings. Focusing your search on Madison and Milwaukee on Migrate Mate will surface the employers most active in hiring sponsored product managers in Wisconsin.
Are there any Wisconsin-specific factors that affect visa sponsorship for product managers?
Wisconsin's concentration of large, established technology and financial services employers is a practical advantage. Companies like Epic Systems and Fiserv have dedicated immigration compliance teams and file H-1B petitions routinely, which reduces friction compared to smaller employers unfamiliar with the process. The University of Wisconsin-Madison also produces a pipeline of international students on F-1 visas seeking OPT and H-1B sponsorship in product and technical roles, which has normalized sponsored hiring at several major in-state employers.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored product manager jobs in Wisconsin?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
