Which companies sponsor visas for cleaning jobs in Florida?
Large hospitality groups operating in Orlando and Miami, including major hotel chains and resort operators, are among the most active sponsors for cleaning roles. Hospital systems such as AdventHealth and HCA Healthcare also hire for housekeeping and environmental services positions with H-2B or H-1B sponsorship. Commercial cleaning contractors holding large facility management contracts in Tampa and Jacksonville have also filed sponsorship petitions.
Which visa types are most common for cleaning roles in Florida?
The H-2B visa is the most common pathway for cleaning and housekeeping roles in Florida, covering temporary non-agricultural workers for seasonal or peak-demand positions. Some supervisory or facilities management roles within larger organizations may qualify for H-1B sponsorship if they require a bachelor's degree in a specialty field. EB-3 immigrant visas are another route for permanent positions, typically requiring PERM labor certification through the employer.
Which cities in Florida have the most cleaning visa sponsorship jobs?
Orlando leads due to its concentration of theme parks, resort hotels, and convention centers that maintain large housekeeping operations year-round. Miami follows closely, driven by its luxury hotel corridor and international business district facilities. Tampa and Jacksonville also generate consistent demand through their hospital networks, corporate campuses, and growing commercial real estate sectors that rely on contracted facility services.
How to find cleaning visa sponsorship jobs in Florida?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, making it straightforward to browse cleaning roles in Florida without sorting through positions that don't offer sponsorship. You can narrow results to Florida and cleaning-related categories to find current openings from hotel operators, healthcare facilities, and commercial contractors. Migrate Mate's listings are updated regularly, which matters given how quickly hospitality and facilities roles turn over in high-demand markets like Orlando and Miami.
Are there any Florida-specific considerations for cleaning visa sponsorship?
Florida's heavy reliance on tourism means many cleaning sponsorships are tied to H-2B seasonal worker designations, with peak demand aligned to winter resort seasons and major events. Employers must demonstrate they cannot find sufficient U.S. workers before filing H-2B petitions, and the annual H-2B cap makes timing important. Florida's large hospitality and healthcare sectors also mean prevailing wage determinations for cleaning roles vary noticeably between high-cost markets like Miami and smaller inland markets.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored cleaning jobs in Florida?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
