Which companies sponsor visas for cleaning jobs in Texas?
Large facility services contractors are the most active sponsors for cleaning roles in Texas. ABM Industries, Aramark, Sodexo, and ServiceMaster operate extensively across the state, serving commercial office parks, hospitals, airports, and universities. Hotel groups in Houston and Dallas also sponsor for housekeeping and janitorial positions. Sponsorship is most common at companies with established HR infrastructure and high-volume staffing needs.
Which visa types are most common for cleaning roles in Texas?
The H-2B visa is the most common pathway for cleaning and janitorial roles in Texas, as it covers temporary nonagricultural workers in occupations that do not require a college degree. Some supervisory or facilities management positions within cleaning operations may qualify under the H-1B if they require a specialty occupation degree. EB-3 immigrant visas are also used for permanent placements in this sector.
Which cities in Texas have the most cleaning sponsorship jobs?
Houston leads in cleaning sponsorship activity, driven by its large petrochemical campus facilities, Texas Medical Center, and convention hospitality industry. Dallas and Fort Worth follow closely, with demand concentrated in corporate office parks, airports, and hotel chains. San Antonio benefits from strong tourism and military installation contracts. Austin's growing tech office sector has also increased demand for commercial cleaning services.
How to find cleaning visa sponsorship jobs in Texas?
Migrate Mate is designed specifically for international job seekers looking for visa sponsorship roles, including cleaning positions in Texas. You can filter listings by state and role to surface employers actively open to sponsorship. This is more efficient than broad job searches because listings are vetted for sponsorship relevance, which matters significantly for cleaning roles where not every employer has prior sponsorship experience.
Are there any state-specific considerations for cleaning visa sponsorship jobs in Texas?
Texas has no state income tax, which affects how prevailing wage calculations translate to take-home pay compared to other states. The H-2B program requires employers to demonstrate that no qualified U.S. workers are available, and Texas employers must meet Department of Labor prevailing wage standards for the specific occupation and metropolitan area. Houston, Dallas, and Austin each fall under different wage determinations, so the role location matters.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored cleaning jobs in Texas?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
