Which companies sponsor visas for delivery drivers in Florida?
Large national carriers operating in Florida, including Amazon Logistics, UPS, FedEx, and XPO Logistics, have the infrastructure and legal teams most likely to support visa sponsorship for delivery driver roles. Regional freight and logistics companies with Florida distribution hubs may also sponsor, though sponsorship is far less common at smaller carriers or independent delivery contractors.
Which visa types are most common for delivery driver roles in Florida?
Delivery driver roles are generally classified as non-specialty occupations, which means they typically do not qualify for H-1B sponsorship, which requires a position tied to a specific bachelor's degree field. Employers who do sponsor drivers more commonly use the H-2B visa for temporary non-agricultural workers or, in some cases, TN status for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying occupations. Options are more limited than in professional fields.
Which cities in Florida have the most delivery driver sponsorship jobs?
Miami and its surrounding metro area generate the highest volume of delivery driver activity in Florida, driven by port logistics, international freight, and dense urban last-mile demand. Orlando, Tampa, and Jacksonville follow closely, each anchored by distribution centers and warehouse facilities. Fort Lauderdale and the Palm Beach corridor also see consistent driver hiring tied to retail and e-commerce fulfillment operations.
How to find delivery driver visa sponsorship jobs in Florida?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international job seekers looking for visa sponsorship roles in the U.S. You can filter by state and job category to find delivery driver positions in Florida where employers have indicated sponsorship willingness. Because delivery roles with sponsorship are less common than professional roles, checking Migrate Mate regularly and setting up alerts for new Florida logistics postings will improve your chances of catching openings early.
Are there any Florida-specific factors that affect visa sponsorship for delivery drivers?
Florida's high volume of international commerce through the Port of Miami and Port of Everglades means some logistics employers in South Florida have more experience navigating international hiring than employers in other states. However, delivery driver roles across Florida must still meet federal prevailing wage requirements under any work visa program, and sponsorship availability depends heavily on employer size, role classification, and whether the position meets visa category criteria.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored delivery driver jobs in Florida?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
