Which companies sponsor visas for patient care coordinators in Florida?
Florida's largest hospital systems and health networks are the most consistent sponsors for patient care coordinator roles. AdventHealth, HCA Healthcare, Baptist Health South Florida, Jackson Health System, and Moffitt Cancer Center have sponsored foreign workers in healthcare coordination and administrative roles. Larger multi-site organizations tend to have established HR and immigration infrastructure, making sponsorship more feasible than at smaller independent clinics.
Which visa types are most common for patient care coordinator roles in Florida?
The H-1B is the most commonly used visa for patient care coordinators in Florida, provided the role meets the specialty occupation standard, typically requiring a bachelor's degree in health administration, nursing, social work, or a related field. Some candidates with clinical credentials may also qualify under TN status if they are Canadian or Mexican nationals. EB-3 immigrant visa sponsorship appears at larger health systems for longer-term hires.
Which cities in Florida have the most patient care coordinator sponsorship jobs?
Orlando and Tampa are the strongest markets, anchored by AdventHealth's Orlando headquarters and HCA Healthcare's Tampa-area facilities. Miami and Fort Lauderdale see consistent demand driven by Baptist Health South Florida and University of Miami Health System. Jacksonville, home to Mayo Clinic Florida and Baptist Health, is a growing market. Gainesville also offers opportunities tied to UF Health, one of Florida's major academic medical centers.
How to find patient care coordinator visa sponsorship jobs in Florida?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international job seekers and filters patient care coordinator listings in Florida to those with visa sponsorship. Rather than sorting through general job boards that rarely flag sponsorship clearly, Migrate Mate surfaces roles at Florida health systems that have a documented history of sponsoring foreign workers, saving significant time during what is often a time-sensitive job search.
Are there state-specific considerations for patient care coordinators seeking sponsorship in Florida?
Florida's large and diverse patient population, including significant Spanish-speaking communities in South Florida, means bilingual candidates are often preferred and can be more competitive. Florida does not have a state income tax, which affects overall compensation comparisons. Prevailing wage requirements under H-1B rules apply to the specific metro area, so wages for a coordinator role in Miami may differ from those in smaller markets like Gainesville or Tallahassee.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored patient care coordinator jobs in Florida?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
