Which companies sponsor visas for patient care coordinators in Texas?
Large integrated health systems are the most consistent sponsors for patient care coordinator roles in Texas. Organizations like UT Southwestern Medical Center, Houston Methodist Hospital, Baylor Scott & White Health, Texas Health Resources, and Memorial Hermann have track records of filing H-1B visa petitions for healthcare administration positions. Smaller community hospitals and specialty clinics do sponsor occasionally, but large academic medical centers and multi-site health networks represent the most reliable sponsorship activity in this role.
Which visa types are most common for patient care coordinator roles in Texas?
The H-1B visa is the most common pathway for patient care coordinator roles in Texas, as the position typically requires a bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, nursing, social work, or a related field, which satisfies the specialty occupation requirement. Some candidates with Canadian or Mexican citizenship may qualify under the TN visa in relevant professional categories. Employers file Labor Condition Applications through the Department of Labor before sponsoring any H-1B petition.
Which cities in Texas have the most patient care coordinator sponsorship jobs?
Houston and Dallas lead the state for patient care coordinator sponsorship activity, reflecting their concentration of large hospital systems, academic medical centers, and specialty clinics. San Antonio has a notable presence through University Health and military-affiliated medical facilities. Austin's healthcare sector has grown significantly alongside the city's population expansion, with providers like Ascension Seton and St. David's HealthCare increasing their administrative hiring in recent years.
How to find patient care coordinator visa sponsorship jobs in Texas?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international candidates seeking visa sponsorship jobs in the U.S., including patient care coordinator roles in Texas. You can filter by state and role to see positions from employers with documented sponsorship history. This saves significant time compared to manually sorting through general job boards where sponsorship status is rarely disclosed upfront. Migrate Mate's listings focus on employers actively open to sponsoring international hires.
Are there any Texas-specific considerations for patient care coordinator visa sponsorship?
Texas has a high concentration of for-profit hospital systems alongside its major nonprofit and academic medical centers, and sponsorship willingness varies considerably between them. Academic institutions affiliated with the University of Texas or Texas A&M systems tend to have established immigration processes and legal resources to support sponsorship. Patient care coordinators working in behavioral health, oncology coordination, or transplant services often find stronger sponsorship demand due to the specialized nature of those roles.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored patient care coordinator jobs in Texas?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
