Which companies sponsor visas for supply chain analysts in Illinois?
Large Illinois-based employers with documented H-1B sponsorship histories for supply chain roles include Caterpillar, Abbott Laboratories, United Airlines, Walgreens, and Baxter International. Amazon and Grainger also maintain significant Illinois operations and regularly sponsor supply chain analysts. Sponsorship activity tends to be concentrated among large multinationals and manufacturing conglomerates headquartered in the Chicago metro area.
Which visa types are most common for supply chain analyst roles in Illinois?
The H-1B is the most common visa for supply chain analysts in Illinois, as the role generally qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring a bachelor's degree in supply chain management, industrial engineering, business, or a related field. Candidates already in the U.S. on F-1 OPT (including STEM OPT extension) frequently transition to H-1B sponsorship through Illinois employers. TN visas are available to Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying roles.
Which cities in Illinois have the most supply chain analyst sponsorship jobs?
Chicago and its surrounding suburbs account for the majority of supply chain analyst sponsorship opportunities in Illinois. Schaumburg, Deerfield, and Lincolnshire host corporate headquarters for companies like Walgreens and Baxter that hire extensively in this function. Peoria is a secondary market, primarily driven by Caterpillar's global supply chain operations. Lake County and the I-90 corridor also have notable concentrations of logistics and manufacturing employers.
How to find supply chain analyst visa sponsorship jobs in Illinois?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international job seekers and filters supply chain analyst roles in Illinois by visa sponsorship status, so you're not sorting through postings from employers who won't sponsor. The platform is particularly useful if you're on OPT or need H-1B sponsorship, since it surfaces employers with documented sponsorship histories in this role and region rather than requiring you to assess each posting individually.
Are there any Illinois-specific factors that affect visa sponsorship for supply chain analysts?
Illinois has a strong university pipeline through programs at University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, Northwestern, and DePaul, which means employers in the state are accustomed to hiring international graduates directly into supply chain roles. Chicago's designation as a major freight and logistics hub means demand for analysts is consistent across manufacturing, retail, and aviation sectors. STEM OPT eligibility for supply chain degrees from accredited programs can give candidates additional time before H-1B sponsorship is required.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored supply chain analyst jobs in Illinois?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
