JOB DESCRIPTION
Responsibilities:
- Participate in site audits to identify hazards such as pinch-points, electrical hazards, fork lift traffic etc.
- Help with implementation of 5S program throughout the plant including organizing labeling and floor marking activities
- Assist in updating Risk Assessments
- Participate in the submittal of monthly EHS metrics
- Participate in audit walks, Workplace Observation program, and corrective action determinations.
- Assist in the execution of the EHS Improvement Plan
- Actively participate in / help facilitate weekly Safety Committee Meetings
- Assist in the administration of the facilities compliance calendar
- Participate in / Lead safety projects as assigned with the help of the EHS Manager
- Other miscellaneous tasks at the discretion of site management
QUALIFICATIONS
- Enrolled in an accredited Baccalaureate or Master's degree program (in a related field of study) with a G.P.A. of 3.0 or higher
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in all situations
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task
- Problem-solving skills, assertiveness and strong initiative
- Team-oriented thinking with enthusiasm for continuous learning
- Minimum completion of sophomore status in good standing preferred
- Participation in school or extracurricular activities and experience in leadership roles preferred
