JOB TITLE:

Industrial Engineer Intern

PAY GRADE:

AcqSal

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Key Responsibilities

- Support 5 S’s activities on the shop floor, labeling racks, color-coding tools in assembly, mark floor for Material staging areas.
- Support Productivity Improvement – Data Analysis
- Support developing Standardized Work – being able to record daily tasks
- Support 5S’s Global Assessment Deployment
- Helping to ensure projects are completed on time.

Competencies and Behaviors

- Computer proficient (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
- Simulation Software – Arena, FlexSim, etc.
- Experience and/or knowledge on Time and Motions – Time Studies
- Knowledge of basic lean tools – 5S’s, SMED, Value Stream Map, etc.
- Generative AI: ChatGPT/LLMs for process documentation.
- Experience and/or knowledge working in or around machine shop or machining is a plus

Qualifications and Experience

An in-process bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Industrial Engineering. Ability to work with people in an industrial environment.
