Which companies in Indiana sponsor visas for project managers?
Several large Indiana employers have documented H-1B sponsorship histories for project manager roles. These include Eli Lilly and Company in Indianapolis, Cummins Inc. in Columbus, Salesforce (with Indiana operations), and major healthcare systems like Indiana University Health. Manufacturing and pharmaceutical companies tend to file the most LCA applications for project management positions in the state.
Which visa types are most common for project managers in Indiana?
The H-1B is the most common visa for project managers in Indiana, provided the role requires at least a bachelor's degree in a directly related field such as engineering, information technology, or business administration. Candidates from Australia may qualify for the E-3, while Canadian and Mexican nationals can explore the TN visa under the USMCA, which covers certain management and engineering roles.
Which Indiana cities have the most project manager visa sponsorship jobs?
Indianapolis accounts for the largest share of project manager sponsorship activity in Indiana, driven by its concentration of life sciences, technology, and logistics employers. Carmel and Fishers, as northern Indianapolis suburbs with significant corporate campuses, are also active. Columbus sees demand from Cummins and its supplier network, while Fort Wayne has growing manufacturing and healthcare project management opportunities.
How to find project manager visa sponsorship jobs in Indiana?
Migrate Mate is designed specifically for international candidates searching for visa-sponsored roles. You can filter by state and job category to surface project manager positions in Indiana where employers have indicated sponsorship availability. This saves significant time compared to manually screening postings, since sponsorship information is often buried or missing on general job boards.
Are there any Indiana-specific factors project managers should know before applying for sponsorship?
Indiana's manufacturing and pharmaceutical industries often require project managers with domain-specific credentials, meaning a PMP certification paired with an engineering or science degree strengthens H-1B specialty occupation eligibility considerably. The Department of Labor's prevailing wage requirements apply regardless of state, but Indiana's cost of living means compensation packages can differ notably from coastal markets, which is worth factoring into offer evaluations.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored project manager jobs in Indiana?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
