Which companies in Georgia sponsor visas for project managers?
Large Georgia-based employers with documented H-1B visa sponsorship histories for project management roles include Delta Air Lines, NCR Voyix, The Home Depot, Anthem (now Elevance Health), and Honeywell's Atlanta operations. Global consulting firms with significant Georgia footprints, including Accenture, Infosys, and Wipro, also sponsor project managers regularly through Atlanta-area client engagements.
What visa types are most common for project manager roles in Georgia?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for project managers in Georgia, provided the role meets USCIS specialty occupation standards, typically requiring a bachelor's degree in a relevant field like engineering, computer science, or business. L-1A visas apply to multinational managers transferring within the same company. TN visas cover Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying management roles under USMCA.
Which cities in Georgia have the most project manager sponsorship jobs?
Atlanta accounts for the overwhelming majority of project manager visa sponsorship activity in Georgia, driven by its concentration of Fortune 500 headquarters, major tech firms in Tech Square, and one of the busiest airports in the world. Alpharetta and Dunwoody, both within the Atlanta metro area, host significant financial technology and healthcare IT operations that also generate sponsorship opportunities for project managers.
How to find project manager visa sponsorship jobs in Georgia?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international job seekers and filters project manager roles in Georgia by visa sponsorship eligibility, saving you from sorting through listings that won't support work authorization. Because Georgia's sponsoring employers are concentrated in Atlanta's tech, healthcare, and logistics sectors, searching Migrate Mate by industry alongside location helps surface the most relevant open positions.
Are there any Georgia-specific factors project managers should know about for visa sponsorship?
Georgia has no state income tax exemption for visa holders, so your full compensation is subject to both state and federal taxes. Georgia Tech and Emory University produce a steady pipeline of internationally educated graduates competing for the same sponsored roles, which means Atlanta's project manager market is competitive. Employers in Georgia's construction and infrastructure sectors, active around major airport and highway projects, often prefer PMP certification alongside degree qualifications when evaluating sponsored candidates.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored project manager jobs in Georgia?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
