Which companies sponsor visas for project analysts in Kansas?
Spirit AeroSystems in Wichita is among the more active H-1B sponsors in Kansas, given its large engineering and program management workforce. Financial services firms in Overland Park, including GARMIN and Sprint (now part of T-Mobile), have also filed LCA disclosures for project analyst roles. Healthcare systems like The University of Kansas Health System and government contractors in the Kansas City metro area round out the primary sponsoring employers.
Which visa types are most common for project analyst roles in Kansas?
The H-1B is the most common visa for project analyst positions in Kansas, as the role typically requires a bachelor's degree in a specific field such as business, engineering, or information systems, meeting the specialty occupation standard. Candidates already holding OPT or STEM OPT authorization can work in project analyst roles before an H-1B is filed. L-1B visas appear occasionally when a project analyst transfers within a multinational company to a Kansas office.
Which cities in Kansas have the most project analyst sponsorship jobs?
Overland Park and the broader Kansas City metro area generate the most project analyst sponsorship activity, driven by technology, financial services, and logistics employers. Wichita is the second most active city, largely due to aerospace and aviation manufacturing employers who rely on program and project management talent. Lawrence, home to the University of Kansas, produces a smaller but consistent pipeline of project analyst openings tied to research institutions and tech-adjacent employers.
How to find project analyst visa sponsorship jobs in Kansas?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, so you can search for project analyst roles in Kansas without sifting through postings that won't support international candidates. The platform aggregates openings across aerospace, healthcare, finance, and technology employers active in Wichita and the Kansas City metro. Setting up alerts for project analyst positions in Kansas on Migrate Mate helps you track new sponsorship-eligible listings as they appear.
Are there state-specific considerations for project analyst visa sponsorship in Kansas?
Kansas employers sponsoring H-1B workers must pay the prevailing wage as determined by the Department of Labor for the specific metropolitan area, meaning Wichita and the Kansas City metro have different wage benchmarks. Kansas has a notable aerospace and defense industry cluster, so project analysts with backgrounds in program management or systems analysis tend to find the most sponsorship opportunities. The University of Kansas and Kansas State University also generate OPT candidates who often transition into sponsored project analyst roles at regional employers.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored project analyst jobs in Kansas?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
