Which finance companies sponsor Green Card visas in Massachusetts?
Fidelity Investments, State Street Corporation, Wellington Management, Liberty Mutual, and Putnam Investments are among the Massachusetts-based finance employers with documented Green Card sponsorship histories. Regional banks and fintech firms in the Boston area also file PERM labor certifications with regularity, particularly for quantitative, technology, and specialized financial analysis roles that are difficult to fill domestically.
Which cities in Massachusetts have the most finance Green Card sponsorship jobs?
Boston accounts for the overwhelming majority of finance Green Card sponsorship activity in Massachusetts, driven by its concentration of asset managers, insurance companies, and financial technology firms. Waltham and Burlington have a secondary cluster of finance and fintech employers along the Route 128 corridor. Cambridge also sees sponsorship activity tied to quantitative finance and fintech roles connected to the broader tech and academic ecosystem there.
What types of finance roles typically qualify for Green Card sponsorship in Massachusetts?
Roles requiring specialized education or hard-to-find technical skills are the most commonly sponsored. These include quantitative analysts, portfolio managers, financial engineers, risk analysts, compliance officers with niche regulatory expertise, and software engineers working within financial services. Employers file PERM applications when they can demonstrate that the position requires specific qualifications and that no qualified U.S. worker is available for the role.
How do I find finance Green Card sponsorship jobs in Massachusetts?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international job seekers and filters finance jobs in Massachusetts by visa sponsorship type, including Green Card sponsorship. Rather than sorting through thousands of listings with no sponsorship information, you can search directly for employers who have sponsored Green Cards in finance. Migrate Mate surfaces roles at companies with verified sponsorship histories, saving significant research time for candidates targeting the Massachusetts market.
Are there state-specific considerations for Green Card sponsorship in finance roles in Massachusetts?
Massachusetts employers in finance must comply with federal PERM labor certification requirements, including prevailing wage obligations set by the Department of Labor. The state's competitive finance job market means employers filing PERM applications must document genuine recruitment efforts before sponsoring a foreign national. Massachusetts also has a strong fintech sector where H-1B to Green Card transitions are common, making it useful to understand how your current nonimmigrant status interacts with the permanent residence process.
What is the prevailing wage for Green Card finance jobs in Massachusetts?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
