Which companies sponsor visas for technology business partners in Massachusetts?
Large employers in Massachusetts with a track record of H-1B sponsorship for technology-aligned roles include State Street, Fidelity Investments, Biogen, Liberty Mutual, Raytheon Technologies, and HubSpot. These organizations regularly file Labor Condition Applications for business and technology strategy positions. Sponsorship practices vary by hiring cycle and internal headcount, so it is worth researching each employer's recent LCA filings through the DOL disclosure database.
Which visa types are most common for technology business partner roles in Massachusetts?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for technology business partner roles in Massachusetts, given that the position typically requires a bachelor's degree in information systems, computer science, business administration, or a related field, meeting the specialty occupation standard. Australian nationals may also qualify under the E-3 visa. Candidates already holding L-1B status through an intracompany transfer may transition into similar roles without entering the H-1B lottery.
Which cities in Massachusetts have the most technology business partner sponsorship jobs?
Boston and Cambridge account for the largest concentration of technology business partner opportunities in Massachusetts, driven by the financial services, biotech, and enterprise software sectors headquartered there. Waltham and Burlington, along the Route 128 corridor, are also significant hiring centers, hosting regional offices for companies like Raytheon, MathWorks, and Oracle. Worcester has a smaller but growing presence tied to healthcare technology employers in the area.
How to find technology business partner visa sponsorship jobs in Massachusetts?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, making it straightforward to search for technology business partner roles in Massachusetts without sifting through positions that do not sponsor. You can narrow results by location, role type, and visa category. Because technology business partner is a cross-functional title, searching related terms such as IT business partner or technology relationship manager on Migrate Mate can surface additional relevant openings in the state.
Are there any state-specific considerations for technology business partners seeking sponsorship in Massachusetts?
Massachusetts enforces strict wage equity and pay transparency requirements, and the DOL prevailing wage standard for technology business partner roles in the Boston-Cambridge metropolitan area reflects a high-cost labor market. Candidates from universities such as MIT, Boston University, and Northeastern University on F-1 OPT have an established pathway into local employers before transitioning to H-1B sponsorship. The state's concentration of regulated industries, including finance and life sciences, means employers often have dedicated immigration support processes already in place.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored technology business partner jobs in Massachusetts?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
