ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Tax Analyst will prepare Fiscal and Excise tax provision workpapers and related tax adjustments. They will also be responsible for preparation and review of tax returns and their associated schedules and attachments, tax estimates, as well as other client deliverables.

1. Tax Adjustment Analysis

2. Prepare and review investment tax adjustments.

3. Work with Financial Reporting and Fund Accounting teams for clear audit points.

4. Fiscal Tax provision

5. Prepare the fiscal tax provision.

6. Prepare financial statement disclosures.

7. Clear audit points.

8. Excise Tax

9. Prepare excise tax provision.

10. Prepare income projections.

11. Clear audit points.

12. Distributions

13. Prepare distribution calculations.

14. Prepare income projections as applicable.

15. Prepare distribution memo.

16. Tax Estimates

17. Prepare tax estimates per client request.

18. Federal/state tax returns

19. Prepare, using tax software application, federal and state returns.

20. Clear audit points.
21. File return on behalf of the client with federal and local tax agencies.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Education level and/or relevant experience(s)

• BS/BA degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent work experience.

Knowledge and skills (general and technical)

• Understanding of tax concepts, practices, and procedures helpful.
• Strong client service skills and ability to work in a team.
• Ability to understand financial statements and fund accounting reports and spreadsheets.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word required.

Other requirements (licenses, certifications, specialized training, physical or mental abilities required)

• Ability to conceptualize and execute projects and initiatives through to completion.
• Creative problem-solving skills, including the ability to identify, recommend, and implement solutions for tax-related client issues.

COMPENSATION

• Salary Range: $55,000 - $70,000 Base Salary + Annual Bonus Target

BBH and its affiliates' compensation program includes base salary, discretionary bonuses, and profit-sharing. The anticipated base salary range(s) shown above are only for the indicated location(s) and may differ in other locations due to cost of living and labor considerations. Base salaries may vary based on factors such as skill, experience and qualification for the role.
