This position offers a competitive base salary, plus commission and performance-based bonuses.
This role is designed for individuals who want to develop leadership skills while gaining hands-on experience in both the operational and sales sides of the agency. - Deliver a high level of service by handling policy changes, questions, renewals, and claims support, ensuring a strong customer experience
- Identify cross-sell and upsell opportunities within the existing book of business to increase account value and retention
- Maintain accurate activity, pipeline, and customer records within agency systems and CRM tools
- Stay current on Farmers products, underwriting guidelines, coverage options, and promotions to confidently present solutions and remain competitive

- Comfortable making outbound calls, following up on leads, and engaging in daily sales activity
- Self-motivated, competitive, and goal-oriented with the ability to work independently and stay accountable

Which companies sponsor visas for branch managers in Michigan?
Financial institutions with large Michigan footprints, including Flagstar Bank, Huntington National Bank, and Comerica, have historically sponsored visas for management roles. Large retailers and manufacturing distributors with regional headquarters in Detroit and Grand Rapids also appear in Department of Labor disclosure data for branch manager sponsorships. Sponsorship availability varies by employer size, hiring cycle, and whether the role meets specialty occupation standards under the H-1B.
Which visa types are most common for branch manager roles in Michigan?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for branch manager positions in Michigan, provided the role requires at least a bachelor's degree in a specific field such as business administration, finance, or a related discipline. Candidates from Canada and Mexico may qualify for the TN visa under the NAFTA/USMCA professional categories. Managers with multinational backgrounds transferring within the same company may explore L-1A intracompany transferee status.
Which cities in Michigan have the most branch manager sponsorship jobs?
Detroit and its suburbs, including Troy, Dearborn, and Southfield, account for the largest share of branch manager sponsorships in Michigan, driven by the concentration of financial services firms, corporate headquarters, and retail networks. Grand Rapids is the second-largest market, supported by its manufacturing and distribution sector. Lansing and Ann Arbor also generate branch manager openings, particularly in banking, healthcare administration, and university-adjacent commercial operations.
How to find branch manager visa sponsorship jobs in Michigan?
Migrate Mate is a job board built specifically for international candidates seeking visa sponsorship, making it a practical starting point for branch manager roles in Michigan. You can filter by state and job title to surface employers who have sponsored visas for management positions in the past. Because branch manager sponsorship depends heavily on the specific employer and role structure, reviewing individual job listings on Migrate Mate for sponsorship details and listed requirements is the most direct approach.
Are there state-specific considerations for branch manager visa sponsorship in Michigan?
Michigan's prevailing wage requirements for H-1B branch manager roles are benchmarked to the Detroit-Warren-Dearborn and Grand Rapids-Wyoming metropolitan statistical areas, which means offered compensation must meet the Department of Labor's wage levels for those specific markets. Michigan does not impose additional state-level sponsorship requirements beyond federal standards. Candidates should also note that branch manager roles in heavily regulated industries, such as banking, may require state licensing, which can affect hiring timelines independent of visa processing.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored branch manager jobs in Michigan?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
