Which companies sponsor visas for account associates in Nebraska?
In Nebraska, employers with documented H-1B visa sponsorship activity for account-related roles include Mutual of Omaha, Charles Schwab (which absorbed TD Ameritrade's Omaha operations), Nelnet, and Union Pacific. Large financial services and insurance firms in Omaha tend to have established immigration processes, making them more likely to sponsor than smaller regional employers. Sponsorship is never guaranteed and varies by role, department, and hiring cycle.
Which visa types are most common for account associate roles in Nebraska?
The H-1B is the most common visa for account associate roles in Nebraska, provided the position qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring at least a bachelor's degree in a specific field such as finance, business, or accounting. The O-1 visa is an option for candidates with extraordinary achievements, though it is uncommon for this role. International graduates already in the U.S. may also work on OPT or STEM OPT extensions while pursuing sponsorship.
Which cities in Nebraska have the most account associate sponsorship jobs?
Omaha accounts for the large majority of account associate sponsorship opportunities in Nebraska, driven by its concentration of financial services, insurance, and corporate headquarters. Lincoln, as the state capital and home to the University of Nebraska, has a smaller but active market, particularly in technology-adjacent and government-connected roles. Outside these two cities, sponsorship opportunities for account associates are uncommon.
How to find account associate visa sponsorship jobs in Nebraska?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international candidates seeking visa sponsorship jobs and lets you filter by role and state, making it straightforward to browse account associate openings in Nebraska. Because sponsorship is not always advertised explicitly, Migrate Mate focuses on employers with verified sponsorship history, saving time compared to sorting through general job listings. Setting up alerts for Nebraska account associate roles helps you act quickly when positions open.
Are there any state-specific considerations for account associate candidates seeking sponsorship in Nebraska?
Nebraska's tight labor market in financial services, particularly around Omaha's insurance and fintech sectors, means employers sometimes struggle to fill specialized account roles locally, which can work in favor of international candidates. The University of Nebraska-Lincoln and Creighton University produce business graduates who enter the local pipeline, but demand often exceeds supply for experienced candidates. Prevailing wage requirements apply to all H-1B filings, and employers must meet Department of Labor wage levels regardless of state cost-of-living differences.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored account associate jobs in Nebraska?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
